Juniper House on Chowan River

We felt special to be the last ones to stay in the Juniper House. It was just as we planned and Kay (and Justus) were the perfect hosts. Kay has two other houses on the AirBnB site that she showed us for future visits. We were met with homemade cookies upon arrival and she also shared some stew for one meal. We had some things to fry and there wasn’t an air fryer, but Kay had one in the other house and was very accommodating to bring it to us. We definitely will consider this host again.

My family and I love this big old house. Enough space to have togetherness and yet enough space to have a room for quiet time. My adult children would like to make this our annual vacation spot, next time we're going to try booking during cooler months as well. I had the opportunity to speak with our host, Debbie, she was very nice and helpful. Thank you to our hosts!

We had a great stay in Merry Hill. Kate was very responsive and helpful. Jordan's Retreat was definitely a retreat for our family. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed, with some nice extra touches. Indoors and out, there are many places to rest and relax. The river is lovely and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out. It was so peaceful. The location is good and the drive to the Outer Banks is easy and makes a nice day trip. Nearby Edenton is a beautiful town with cute shops and nice coffee shops & restaurants.

Cozy Cottage was fantastic! Everything we needed and more. Very quiet at night and the bed was so comfortable. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. And Donna left us a welcome basket and bottled water in the fridge! Would definitely stay here again!
