Don't expect sun every day -nature is weather and you have to adapt to it! Walk from fjord to mountain, enjoy the vertical landscape and end the day with a refreshing bath in Huldrekulpen.

Magnificent view over the ocean

Experience spectacular views from the Bird Box, located at the top of Ørnhaugen on Langøy. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. The apartment is located by Osterfjorden. There is a dock on the property. Lush nature on all sides. Bathing right beside the sea. Good hiking opportunities in forests and mountains in the immediate area. It is 1.5 hours by car to Bergen - 1 hour to Voss and Stølsheimen hiking area. Or just relax on the patio. Chairs, tables, pillows are provided. Good with sun. Small boat engine (outboard) can be rented for fishing / hiking on the fjord. The host will be helpful with hiking in the area - sea / fjord or land. Marked nature trails

If you are looking for peace and quiet in scenic surroundings, this is the place! County Road 569 is 30m from the apartment, but you notice little to traffic. 20m below the road Bolstadstraumen runs in tune with the tide. Here, there may also be the opportunity to fish with a pole part of the year. Directly from the residence you will find a lot of hiking opportunities, both along the road and to the mountains. For the cultural enthusiast, Straume Landscape Museum is included, including the Stone Age residence Skipshelleren.

Welcome to a charming cosy house at Øyane. The house is located next to a lake where you can go fishing ( permit needed )svimming, canoeing and kayaking or ice skating in the winter. The house is surrouded by mountains with perfect hiking trails. A famous trail is to "Vetlevarden at Storfjella", Vaksdal. The trip start just outside the frontdoor. At the end of the lake there is a 80 meter high waterfall "Hesjedalfossen" It take 20 minutes by car to the waterfall. We have a free canoe avilable.

The home is a 20 minute drive from Vik, where you can get groceries and restaurants, but it's a beautiful drive so we didn't mind it at all. We sat and watched the sky change over the fjord every morning.

We had a wonderful time here, plenty of room for four adults with room to spare! Nice touches of comfort and style throughout the home. It is important to note there are no restaurants or grocery stores walkable, we appreciated knowing that ahead of check in. The 40 minute ride to downtown Bergen and 10-20 minute ride to food options was minor compared to the wonderful, beautiful place! Great kitchen and outdoor grilling area to prepare food. Responsive, friendly hosts!! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Such a beautiful cottage, right on the water. Left and right, nothing but water and nature. We have rarely seen anything so beautiful. Communication with Oystein was straightforward and easy. Since our navigation system misled us, Oystein helped us out of our predicament very quickly with patience. When we arrived, the heating was already on and it was cozy and warm. The bed was facing the window, so we had a perfect view of the fjord from there. The kitchen was very well equipped for our holiday needs. We prepared simple dishes every day. The attempt to shower with the cold fjord water worked great, but it is certainly not to everyone's taste. It was a great experience. Oystein has created a little paradise. It is absolutely recommended to visit this beautiful place and stay there for a few days or longer. We will be happy to come back. Sigrid and Achim

What a fantastic beautiful, full equipped and lovely decorated house. Amazing view and super private. Very good beds, great shower and perfect kitchen. For the ones that love peace and nature. Lovely super responsive and pro-active hosts. Highly recommended! We will sure be back some day for even a longer stay than just 5 days. The island is beautiful and peaceful, the nearest supermarket is some km away but has everything you need.
