Kid-friendly holiday rentals in El Chaltén

Mutisia’s home was perfect! Malú contacted me prior to the trip and was super friendly and helpful. The home provided the space and amenities for 2 couples making it a very comfortable stay. It is in center of village close to trails, restaurants, stores, and bus station. I highly recommend this home for a visit in El Chaltén.

We loved our stay here. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. It had all the amenities needed including a hot shower and radiators to keep it very warm and insulated from the outside wind! Well equipped kitchen even with an oven which most airbnbs don’t have. Lovely hosts who were very responsive. Also the most gorgeous black cat. Highly recommend, we would stay here again.

My stay at Blas’ place in El Chaltén exceeded expectations in all ways. His place is on a peaceful street but still walkable to everything. Major trailheads are very close. His house is very nice with great vibe, and has one of the more comfortable king beds that I’ve ever slept in, perfect for recovery from long hikes. Blas himself is an amazing guy, super helpful and friendly. As an avid hiker himself, he has all the tips and info you could possible need for both the mountains and the town. Highly recommended, I look forward to returning!

Loved this little place in El Chaltén. The location was perfect and the host was super helpful suggesting activities. Family of 6 was plenty comfortable for a great price.

Very clean and comfortable house, perfect for big family, kids enjoyed being outside a lot, feeding rabbits and chickens and playing football:) Grocery store just a couple of minutes walk away, as well as many cafes and restaurants. Everything was as described, would definitely recommend.

Super schönes Tiny House in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse von El Chaltén. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

We had a great time in the cabin. It is very picturesque and homey with a lot of small details. We really loved the atmosphere of it all and being so close to all the hiking and food spots. We did not have problems with the hot shower/ it was always enough for us. Small inconvenience at the moment is that there is construction in the area atm. Thanks a lot!

Zentral gelegenes Ziegelhaus im unteren Bereich von El Chaltén, gut zu Fuß von der Busstation aus zu erreichen. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, super warme Heizung und Dusche, große Küche, mit guter Ausstattung. Alles was man braucht, um sich von Wanderungen bei Wind und Wetter zu regenerieren. Der FitzRoy / Cerro Chaltén ist von draußen vor dem Haus aus zu sehen. Barbara betreut dieses Airbnb professionell und proaktiv. Man bekommt viele gute Informationen und Ideen, was an welchem Tag sinnvoll ist zu unternehmen, abhängig auch von der Wetterlage. Mich hat das außerordentlich motiviert um meine kurze Zeit hier voll auszukosten. Natürlich ist auch ein bisschen Promotion dabei, aber es gibt auch Struktur und spart Zeit, wenn man nur wenige Tage im Dorf ist. Ich habe mich von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und würde beim nächsten Besuch versuchen, wieder dieses Haus zu mieten. Vielen Dank Barbara für die Freundlichkeit und intensive Betreuung und hoffentlich auf ein nächstes Mal!

Francisco's place is in a quiet location, but it still offers easy access to all the trails and local eateries/bars. We appreciated having a stocked kitchen and a separate bedroom (from the living area). An added bonus was that it had a good view of Fitz Roy. I highly recommend this Airbnb, and would gladly stay there again (if I make it back to El Chalten someday).

Lovely studio apartment, as described. Good cooking facilities, comfortable bed and decent bathroom. We got very clear instructions for the check in. Located about a 9 minute walk from the bus station and at the bottom of the black stairs on the way to most hikes. Just a couple of minutes walk from some nice restaurants and bars too - you can't go wrong here.

A perfect launching spot for great hikes and views. We everything we needed for our stay in El Chalten for our family of 4. The lofted room set up was fine for us. We didn't plan on eating in but the kitchen wouldn't really have allowed us to cook meals for 4 people. The breakfast was great - don't miss the orange juice!

The staff at Patagonia Hikes were extremely accommodating. We booked the day of and were able to check in right away. Very friendly and responsive to our questions. Highly recommended!!

Heloise was very responsive. The internet wasn’t working when we first checked-in. She ran over that night while we were out to make sure everything was back on track. The apartment was quiet despite being on the main road. Nice hot water after a day of hiking. A great stay!

Sol is a very kind and accommodating host. Every request was promptly answered and Sol went above an beyond to help resolve any issues.

The place isn't fancy, but it's cute and suited my needs perfectly. Nice location. Very quiet. Small place. Three small beds upstairs. Only very basic cooking tools, but enough to make pasta or quesadillas. Only bummer is the windows don't open. At least it's cool (or snowing) at night. Lucrecia was friendly and so was Towalpa, her big black lab!

We had a fantastic stay at Miguel’s place - the Airbnb was great, it had everything we needed and was situated close to the main trail heads. Miguel was a friendly and helpful host, and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend as a base for hiking in El Chalten!

Es una cabaña pequeña pero confortable y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días y descansar después de un duro día de trekking. La casa estaba calentita cuando volvíamos de estar en la montaña y los colchones son comodísimos. Se ve el cerro Solo desde la ventana del dormitorio y desde la puerta lo primero que ves al salir (si está despejado) es el impresionante Fitz Roy. Además, como llegamos de noche agradecimos mucho tener pancitos, mermeladas y tés de cortesía :)

We had a really nice stay at Vanessas place. Its right above a café and a bakery, on the other side of the street is a supermarket. It is a perfect place and Vanessa is very nice and responsive. The only thing is that the kitchen is rather small, but we weren’t bothered, as after the hikes we went anyway to a restaurant. Highly recommend!

We stayed with three people at Vanesas place and had a really good time! She’s been very nice and responsive! The place is located in a street with supermarkets, cafes and restaurant. As well it’s possible to begin the hikes directly from there, perfect location! I would stay again! :)

Estuvimos cuatro noches mi hija y yo. El complejo de cabañas es muy lindo y tiene lo necesario para poder pasar una estancia plancentera y descasar bien luego de un día de trekking. Las chicas siempre se comunicaron y fueron muy atentas. Si bien no está ubicada en el "Centro" está accesible a este y a los senderos. Considerar que está en una zona alta y al final del día puede ser cansador. Nos hubiese gustado estar mucho más tiempo, ya que nos quedaron muchas cosas por conocer. La limpieza era diaria y siempre que volvíamos estaba impecable. El agua caliente y el equipamiento está muy bien para una cocina básica y además hay un patio con deck de madera y parrilla hermoso que no pudimos disfrutar por falta de tiempo. Ojalá podamos volver pronto!!

Une très jolie micro maison. Très bien équipée pour la cuisine, beaucoup d'eau chaude pour la douche et très bonne pression d'eau. Le lit ultra confortable. Tout était très propre. Très silencieux. A 5 minutes à pied du terminus d'autobus. Compte tenu des prix des logements très élevés à El Chalten, cette micro maiso. était un bon prix.
