You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

Great place to stay for a country getaway! My friends and I wanted to hike at the sleeping bear sand dunes and this place was a great distance to the park and Traverse City. The stars at night were so so gorgeous! We loved the homey cozy vibes of the house! There’s also an amazing butterfly zoo about 15 minutes away from this house which was so cool! Absolutely loved our experience here so much, I want to already plan another trip back!

Katie and Travis were excellent hosts. They afforded us a flexible check in and check out and provided very helpful instructions! Their property was extremely peaceful and the Airbnb was very cozy and beautiful! The sauna was a very nice surprise as well! We visited during the winter months to ski at Boyne Mountain so it was a bit chillier in the space - recommend packing warm socks and pajamas! The electric fireplace made the space even cozier! Travis was extremely helpful when our car got stuck in the snow and snowblowed so we could make it home safely!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute and cozy couple’s getaway or even a small family staycation! Katie had the place stocked with wonderful games and toys for kiddos as well! Thank you both again!

My parents, Brother and my family are based in Central MI. Our Brother and his family live in Elk Rapids. We’ve been looking for an Airbnb that can accommodate the downstate family and provide enough space for our up North family to join us. We have found the place! The main cabin comfortably accommodates up to 5 people. If one sleeps on the couch. The two studios are perfect for one or two people. Bonus that each have their own bathroom and functional kitchens. The appliances (all cabins) are new retro theme and super cool. The patio/outdoor area is a perfect spot for everyone to hangout. The fire pit and Adirondack chairs worked perfectly for evenings. We made s’mores, listened to music and chatted by the fire. We had everything we needed to bbq and prepare dinner for nine people. We used the big cabin kitchen as our main kitchen. The picnic tables are awesome. We loved that everyone could sit down, enjoy meals together. All cabins beautifully decorated. Clean comfortable
