Cabin holiday rentals in Elkin

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

The Meadow House was the best! Peaceful. Beautiful. Simplistic. Pristine. Lara is very responsive to any questions you may have and is so cordial. Loved the added touch of a bag of coffee as a welcome gift. Highly recommend to stay here if you want to unwind & relax. The screened-in porch was our favorite spot!

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Great cabin! Very comfortable and serene. The waterfall was especially lovely to hear each day. Well stocked kitchen and overall home. Would definitely return!

Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

Very quiet and peaceful location with farm/country scenery all around. Cabin was cozy and comfortable ... ideal for a couple. The host was very responsive and also informative about nearby points of interest. We enjoyed our stay.

This cozy Danbury cabin was just what we needed for our family trip to NC to celebrate a wedding. Things were well organized, beautiful, and the hosts have thought of just about everything. My son loved the record player, and we really enjoyed the outside seating for relaxing nights chasing fireflies. The town itself doesn’t have much, so we took this as a perfect opportunity to sit back and relax. The Rocking A Frame gave us the perfect reprieve from our busy lives back home. This was the most relaxing, peaceful and carefree weekend we have ever had. My husband and our 2 kids and 2 dogs had the most fun, and we didn’t even feel the need to be on our phones or watch tv! The cabin felt like home; so much so, that we didn’t want to leave. My husband and I are already planning a trip back. Carey was an amazing hostess and we are so appreciative that she opened her home to us. The views were breathtaking. We literally sat outside all weekend. We only went inside to cook and sleep. Oh! And we got to enjoy a meteor shower Saturday night! Super awesome!! And, even cooler, there’s a dollar general market at the end of the main road! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen! So you don’t need to bring a bunch of food! We drove 5 hours to come stay here, and honestly, I would drive 10 just to come back. This cabin was every bit of home and we can’t wait to come back!

Very nice country cabin, comfortable and peaceful. Family felt right at home in spacious home, back patios best place to chill and enjoy the forested yard.. well equipped kitchen to keep everyone fed. Thanks to Steven for a great place to stay, he was attentive without being intrusive. Wish we could have stay longer.

This was my 2nd visit to the Klump's cabin, and certainly won't be my last. The pictures and description of this site fail to do it justice, as words and images cannot fully convey the sense of peace just being here brings. And then there's all the "little things" that Gene & Connie provide and do that add so much. Little touches inside and out that just add to the rustic charm, yet modern convenience. Snacks, drinks, magazines to read, firewood cut, split, and stacked ready for use. And there's my favorite feature: the outdoor shower. Isolated, yet close enough in to enjoy the benefits of the city. If you need to sit a spell, breathe, and just relax, this is the place you need to go. Thank you, Connie & Gene!

Super clean, great location, very peaceful! Such a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to get away from. Situated great for hiking and exploring local towns. Lance was very friendly, tagged along everywhere with us and was very interested in the dogs!

What a gem! Perfect little cabin perched up alongside a babbling brook. Exceeded our expectations. Had everything we needed and more. Bugs were not an issue at all. We spent most of our time on the back porch and down by the water at the fire pit. Comfy bed. Very clean. Great and friendly communication. We will be back!

It was a really really wonderful place to get away from everything and just be. I used this time to write music and the acoustics in the church were just incredible. The sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing and the porch is the perfect place to enjoy your meals. Can’t wait to be back and can’t recommend enough!!!

It was in a peaceful setting and was not far from town. We enjoyed a great meal at Southern Main.

A guest really needs to like rustic to appreciate their stay here and we do. It wasn’t cold enough to start the woodstove so instead we enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting, or rocking, on the porch (only a few sounds of birds, a rooster in the distance, and a cow). The beds were awesome with such crisp clean linens and we had a beautiful night’s sleep. LeeAnn graciously made sure that we had everything we needed.

The place is absolutely perfect for visiting the nearby wineries. Pictures don’t do it justice and the scenic privacy is off the charts.

We had such a lovely stay at this cozy little home! It was peaceful, spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The host was incredibly friendly, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. You can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We love staying at Jeremy's! The space is well-organized so it feels so much bigger than it is. I especially love the kitchen set up with a giant island for cooking. The gardens, stream, firepit and location are all beautiful.

This was a cozy cabin! It was very clean, and the communication was very fast! My kids loved how cute this was and didn’t want to leave at all. It is a very peaceful place. I would love to come again!
