The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Convenient to restaurants & shops. This 2 bedroom/1.5 bath townhouse is well equipped and the perfect place to stay whether coming for a football game, swim meet, Parent's weekend, visiting the hiking trails, wineries, or breweries of the New River Valley or stopping while traveling on route 81. It feels like home!

Yurt dwelling is indescribably peaceful. Our property is 150 acres total, off the last end-state maintenance road in the county, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81, or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the Virginia Tech area. This one is a 24' yurt, beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and steam-sauna shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by 150 acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. Dogs welcome!

Tiny house farm stay, minutes to AppalachianTrail!

Unwind in a spacious tiny home on a working farm with vegetables, herbs, fruits, dairy goats, sheep, and chickens. Enjoy the views, farm fresh food, local hiking and swimming holes, or if it's cold, cozy up by the wood stove! We offer sliding scale farm-to-table dinners on weekends. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

Walnut Hills Farm

Restored 1900 farmhouse with high end finishes with a babbling brook and view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the front porch. Wedding venue, Appalachia Hills, is next door. Walnut Hills is situated between Rocky Mount and Roanoke offering music and other entertainment at the Harvester and Berglund Centers. Franklin County has scenic roads for cycling enthusiasts with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good hiking destinations are nearby.
