absolutely LOVED Dorene and John’s getaway cabin! it’s very clean, and has a homey feel. they have anything you would absolutely need including, a bunch of dishes, towels, lots of extra pillows and blankets, and stocked on paper towel and toilet paper. their cabin is peaceful, we didn’t really see any neighbors but the group we did see were very friendly! this place was absolutely gorgeous, i definitely recommend!!

Fantastic host & properties. Well equipped with a lot of amenities. Spacious, luxurious, comfortable condo, with lots of privacy. Very responsive and clear hosts. Looked exactly like the photos. Would definitely come again

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The hot tub was perfect to relax and enjoy the nature around. We seen several deer on the property. The house was accommodating and had all the basics. We appreciated the firewood as the days and nights were chilly and we love to cook on the fire. Communication with the owners was easy with quick responses.

Great place & great hosts! Our family had a nice weekend in such a convenient location!! If in the area, we would love to stay again.

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin in the woods. Hot tub works but could use a new control panel. Inside is what we expected and more. Comfy beds. two fire pits outside. if you have small kids like us be aware there is a steep drop around one side and partly behind the cabin thats pretty close to fire pit. If i decide to stay near baldwin or go hunting the state game area i will deffinitly be back here. not the cleanist place but for the price im not even gonna conplain. wasnt terrible but could have been dusted and swept up a little more. i just grabbed the broom in the bathroom and used the shark vaccum on arrival and when we left. its not nasty dirty so dont take me the wrong way. for the price conpared to similar cabins and what we got out of it i feel its worth it by a long shot. My husband and I came here for our 20th Anniversary get away. We wanted something small, and private and it was all that and more! From the moment we pulled up, the property was tidy and so was the home. It was small and super cozy which made it very enjoyable. The rooms were just perfect; we appreciated all the attention to detail. The beds/mattresses were very comfortable, the sheets and pillows were of great quality, and so were the blankets! The indoor fireplace was so stinking cute, I loved using it! The kitchen, pantry and bathroom were stocked with all the necessitates and then some. The hot tub was a great touch, it was clean and very enjoyable, especially being outside surrounded by nature. The sound of the river water was also so peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the seating area, that was the ideal way to enjoy a good book. Barb and Art were a pleasure to communicate with. They were quick to respond and that made things go very smoothly. We had an amazing time!

We had a great weekend. The cabin is lovely. We hiked at the nearby nature area, fished in the lake & surrounding areas, and explored downtown. We made breakfasts and dinners at the cabin and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of boats available.

It was a real treat to stay in the national forest. I miss it already! If our daughter stays in Manistee we will be back.

Loved the house. Plenty of space. Clean. Soft bed, hot water. Loved the river behind the house, the dogs loved watching the fish as well. It wasn’t as private as I thought, there is a neighbor right next door, and one down the street, and one currently being built across the street but down a little. But the neighbor is nice and keeps to himself. Personally I thought it was going to be a little more private, but that would be my biggest complaint. I would definitely stay again. It was close to everywhere we needed to go, but far enough out of the big towns that it felt private. Definitely recommend the hot turkey sandwich at the Cherry Hut. Good food at Dilbert’s cafe and platte river as well. Hiking is great at sleeping bear dunes, and if you have time, check out Traverse City nature center, they have a hiking system and it’s got some great trails. Some great shopping in downtown traverse city as well and Glen arbor. House is easy to find and would def stay again if in the area!!

Isla Fern is a hidden gem! We had the best time making memories in this thoughtfully designed space. There were many great amenities that you wouldn’t find in most rentals. We appreciated how dog friendly, and kid friendly the rental was. Check in and communication was seamless. I would highly suggest Isla Fern for your getaway!

We had plenty of room for 8 adults and one infant. It was well stocked with kitchen utensils, dishes, a propane grill, and was in a great location for exploring this beautiful part of Northern Michigan. The beds were firm but comfortable, the property was beautiful, and we had a great time. It was on a busy road but the traffic noise inside the home was barely noticeable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Loved this great find near Traverse City! The property was beautiful with a cute little beach. There were beach chairs on the sand and above on an astroturf seating area. There were also a couple docks to walk out farther onto the water. Our dogs enjoyed the slight waves and exploring the wooded area on leash. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was about 20 minutes to Traverse City, so it was easy to get to lots to do as well as the beautiful beaches in the area. We loved sitting at the public beach with our dogs. Such a relaxing place to stay and a great town to enjoy with family and pets.

The cabin was exactly what we expected from the photos and description. Everything was clean, updated, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for homemade meals. Our kids really enjoyed the loft. We would definitely stay there again!

Exactly what we needed for a long weekend, peaceful surrounding, disconnected to regroup and breath. If you want to admire the star without any light pollution, perfect spot. House was great, plenty of space and of course dog friendly (our trusted Viszla loved it too….dog approved). Just 10min from Suttons Bay and 20 from Traverse City. Jess was super responsive and accommodating

Incredible camp! It feels “rustic luxury” might be the most apt descriptor for Driftwood Camp. The camp itself has everything you need plus an abundance of nature m, privacy, and charm. I booked this a few months ago, invited some friends, and hoped it was as awesome as it seemed. It exceeded all our expectations. My only regret is not being able to stay longer.! We’ll definitely be back. (Oh, and for any folks who book a visit and are worried about a forecast of cooler temps with the open air cabins: We packed extra blankets and slept very comfortably with temps in the low 40s!)
