The hike to Melderskin 1426 m starts in walking distance from the house. After the hike you can take a swim in Hardangerfjorden. 1 hour drive away are Odda and Trolltunga.

Ølen is a good starting point for day trips to nearby tourist attractions, like Folgefonna glacier, Trolltunga in Odda, Langfoss & Låtefoss waterfall, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) or excellent skiing options!
