Lovely village house, East Pyrenees

This quaint village house is located high up in the pretty hillside village of Rodes. Rodes rests in the Languedoc Roussillon/Pyrenees-Orientales region of France where Mount Canigou dominates the skyline. A 30 minute drive takes you to Perpignan and the stunning Mediterranean coast. The house has breath taking views of Mount Canigou from the rooftop terrace and can comfortably sleep up to 4 persons. It has a private garage, free WIFI and two bikes available for guests to use. On the ground floor is the walk through garage and a utility area with a washing machine. The two bedrooms are on the first floor. The 2nd floor offers open plan living with a fully equipped kitchen and an area for relaxing and eating. From here you access the sunny outdoor terrace and the mezzanine bathroom. The house and the area are perfect for a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Nearby is a village shop and easy access to the main road between Perpignan and Andorra. The village of Vinca is within walking distance and you can swim, relax and sunbathe on the shores of the crystal clear lake. Maison Mimosa is located in an exceptionally picturesque area ideal for walking and mountain biking as well as a visit to the world reknowned hot springs at Thomas Les Bains. During the winter season, the nearest slopes are just a 45 minute drive away. The 50 euros rate per night is negotiable dependent on number of guests, number if nights booked and the season. The apartment Vista Muntanya is quite unique with its privileged position in the old part of Eus (one of the "plus beaux villages de France"). Eus was formerly fortified around a castle, now the site of the impressive 18th-century church of Saint-Vincent-d'en-Haut. The ground floor flat has exclusive use of the gardens, terraces and swimming pool, with breathtaking views over the Tet valley to the often snow capped Mt Canigou. Eus is (arguably) the sunniest village in France! Free Wifi.

Beautiful traditional mountain house of more than 100m2 in stone and completely renovated in 2020/2021. Perched at 1400m and facing south with a large garden full of flowers and a breathtaking view of the Têt valley, the Canigou and facing the Carança massifs . Fauna is omnipresent and easy to observe and many hiking and mountain biking trails start directly from the house. Llar enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is located halfway between the high Pyrenees and the sea.

The bedroom opens to a panoramic terrace ⚠️ following the opinions of some travelers, the bedding was changed in September 2024.

A wonderful large apartment with two bedrooms with each a bathroom. Great fascilities. Wonderful terrace with splendid ever changing view. EUs is a boetique village with one superb restaurant Tôt run with two kitchen princesses. Cattlar the next village is more a real village with one real French restaurant L’olivier. Both to be reserved by phone.

We had a fantastic holiday. The villa enjoys beautiful views to the rear, side and front, and the space within is roomy and well-appointed. Air con throughout was very helpful to cool rooms before sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, and ate every meal outside on the shaded terrace. The concierge, Jonathan, went above and beyond - meeting us at the property to explain how the pool alarm works, answering queries promptly and being especially amenable and generous when we experienced car problems. The local area is lovely - we enjoyed trips to Eus, Villefranche and a slightly further-afield trip to Collioure on the coast (recommended). There is a very well-priced and delicious bakery within easy walking distance of the villa, and a large supermarket within an easy 10-15 minute drive. Our children enjoyed the (discreet) visits from The Pool Guy, who came to keep the pool in tip-top condition throughout our stay. He was friendly and kind to their inquisitiveness.
