The house build by a Scot in 1895 and named it Ard Lui which is Gaelic meaning a High place of Peace. We moved from Pretoria and found our peace in this beautiful setting. Bulwer is a tiny village in Kzn in the Southern Drakensberg area. We have the Morutswa Forest where birds roam eg the Cape Parrot and Knysna Loerie to mentioned a few. from the Mountain there is paragliding and lovely walks with a breath taking view should you reach the top. Our aim to share and give you the best of Bulwer.

If you looking for a home away from home, welcome to Gr8treks. We are a small family on a big farm and do everything ourselves. You can expect to find us out in the gardens on most days. Help is welcome from fellow gardeners who need some green therapy. We do not have refuse services so encourage recycling. Water is also very precious to us so please me mindful not to waste water and electricity. This is my family home and we like our guests to feel as though they are at home too.

Situated in the beautiful Tala valley, this lakeside home is the only fully equipped tournament waterski site in South Africa. With amazing views across the lake, this secure estate offers a comfortable, restful stay. Birding, waterskiing, raft cruises on the lake, cycling and hiking are on offer. Perfectly situated to nearby wedding venues and Tala Game Reserve, as well as Durban Skydivers, the venue also caters for small functions and provides 'morning after the wedding breakfasts'.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. There are two bedrooms. One double room and one room with two singles. There is a loft upstairs for the kids to sleep. The view of the mountain is beautiful. The kids can run around on the lawn and there is plenty of space for them to play. We have a number of hiking routes as well as an indigenous forest. There are also paragliding flights on offer. No experience required.

Our gorgeous little cottage nicknamed The Bee house is a perfect spot for a small family or group of friends. It has a simple little kitchen, sitting area and bathroom to share. Each room is warm and welcoming with tea coffee and rusks supplied. Enjoy the peace and quiet while sitting on the verandah surrounded by the beautiful scenery.
