Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. There is a wood stove for the winter. We deliver a wheelbarrow with firewood for €15.

It is only 1.5 km from the village (market, restaurant). Very good Wi-Fi connection. You can immediately set off on the many hiking trails. In the surrounding area, 3 lakes for swimming and the gorges of the Aude (canoe, kayak, raft). Bars, restaurants, supermarket 8 km away.

Lakes and swimming in the villages of Puivert and Quillan. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts, lots of marked trails.

This home is on the door step to the enchanting Nebias labyrinth formed by a karstique maze hidden in a preserved oak forest near the huge pine tree forest. From here you can visit Quillan and its lake, the mysterious Rennes-le-Chateau, the lake and castle of Puivert, the stunning castle of Montsegur, an impressive sight nestled high on a rocky hilltop.
