The place is located on a quiet street about a 20 min stroll from the center of town. Everything you need is within walking distance, including local shops selling vegetables and provisions, the Knutsford Express Station, restaurants, and the supermarket. The real thing! This place is awesome. Placement is just perfect, neigbourhood is safe and chill and the home is welcoming and cozy. Samuel is a great host! Kept good care of me, always asked if everything is good, provided what I needed, showed me around the city and I got to see more than a normal tourist would. Man felt like a big brother taking care! This is a go to place if u around Port Antonio! No complains, only compliments!

When I get to the address, at first I didn’t see the place but all I needed to do was look up… yes look up !!! It’s the house on top of the hill …. My experience here was amazing.. there is other places that I normally stay but is now a place in the pass … this new location have all my attention

We had an unforgettable stay at the African Great Huts near Boston Bay—it’s even better than the photos! This was part of our wedding trip, and we brought two friends along. We booked two places on the property and had the most incredible experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking—surrounded by lush nature, it truly felt like we were in a movie. There are two pools (including one cliffside with stunning views), and private beach access to a gorgeous cove at Boston Bay. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely to die for. Our first night, we had a delicious dinner with incredible rum punch—it set the perfect tone for the rest of the stay. This was the ultimate pre-wedding escape. Peaceful, magical, and so memorable. We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to tell our friends about this hidden gem!

Christopher and his brother were wonderful host . The place was exactly as described beautiful mountain view perfect distance from the town and I felt extremely safe. You had peace and quiet but wasn’t far too from the action in the town :) The apartment is on the upper level of the house it’s very cozy clean and private . His brother lives downstairs but honestly you never see him so privacy isn’t an issue . The neighbour’s are very friendly . I had no water issues the water was always hot the bed is comfy and there’s more than enough linen , towels , and rags . Everything is in top notch condition . The only complain I have is I didn’t stay longer :) I’ve grown to love Portland in such a short trip and its beautiful surroundings. I had such an Amazing time . I definitely will be returning in the near future and hoping to build a home away from home there . That’s how much I loved it in port Antonio. I’ll be back . Don’t hesitate to book .

what can I say. Cleveland's cabin was a rustic retreat and the perfect getaway. He was always responsive and checked on me continuously to make sure I had everything I needed. I was able to make small meals in the kitchen. The bedroom was spacious with a bathroom en suite. I had everything I needed. There's no A/C, but the fans worked nicely. I will definitely keep in touch and seek him out for future tours and airport pick-up. Thanks for everything. bless up.

It was an absolute joy to stay at Easyman’s place for 1 week. Portland is a natural paradise, hidden away from the main tourist spots it feels like authentic Jamaica I loved being surrounded by nature, all the tropical plants, trees & animals. The neighbourhood felt safe & friendly, music plays loud through the night if you want to go for a drink at the many small bars along the road The cabin is simple but has everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped, bed is comfy (with mosquito net), cold shower is refreshing, fan keeps you cool at night… Yes there are a couple of bugs but this is natural living! Winnifred Beach is just a 10-15 min walk through the forest…. It’s not a luxury beach but a beautifully natural beach which I walked to everyday! I enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear sea & the home made jerk chicken from Doreen’s is delicious If you want an escape from the city, to enjoy the simple beach life & to connect with nature - I highly recommend this place

We’re return guests at Oneil’s and recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a natural rustic setting that is still close to everything in Port Antonio!

Sangela and Jason were welcoming and friendly hosts. They were attentive to any requests and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable in our stay. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone coming to Portland. The villa is beautiful with excellent views. It had all the comforts of home. AND more!!!! The hosts went above and beyond with their attention to detail here. The site is very safe and secure!!! A perfect location for accessing cook shop/attractions/town (or an ICE CREAM ;). I recommend a visit to Somerset Falls/The Rio Grande/Winifred Beach/Frenchman's cove/Blue Lagoon/and of course Boston Bay Beach and Jerk Center as well as a fish dinner (close by) at Likkle Portie. Endless amounts of Fun things to do, relaxation, and great new friends to be made! Don't hesitate to book this one!!! Wilbourn's place is magical! Have stayed at a few places in Portland and would definitely come back to Rocksteady Villa. Wilbourn is a great host and the place is spacious and clean. Lots of fresh air. Very nice community to stay in.

I stayed for just over a month and really enjoyed my stay. Garnet’s place is a home away from home with all you need to have a great getaway. The apartment offers partial sea views which are lovely and is located in a nice neighbourhood that felt both friendly and safe. I didn’t have a car so got around by route taxi which was pretty easy to do from the location, plus Boston Beach is located only a short walk from the apartment. Garnet regularly checked in to make sure everything was ok which I appreciated. Overall I had a great time and would definitely stay here again.
