From here you can take beautiful walks (or cycling) with always another surprising view. Nearby are many wine cellars where you can sample delicious wines. Cailhau is also located in the Catharen region, rich in history, with many castles and abbeys to visit. In the village you have a cosy bistro where you can eat and drink. You will find ping pong, petanque, badminton, garden ideal for children, animation evening possible with nonprofit meal on our terrace. the village of Cambieure at the gates of Limoux and very close to Carcassonne ideal departure for visiting the Aude and Ariège. The caves lakes vineyards the canal du midi. Cleaning must be done before departure or take the option at €35. Simple accommodation with low prices and not suitable for pretentious people.

We really enjoyed our stay with Erick and Isabelle - they are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome, including organising a tasting of local Corbières wines, and a separate vinegar tasting. The house is beautiful, and very well equipped - for dinner, we could take our pick between bbqing outside on the terrace or cooking in the kitchen. For swimming, we were spoilt for choice, able to swim in the pool as well as in the river below the house. The countryside around the house is great for walks (and the nearby village is easily walkable), but it is quite remote, so a car is needed to get around, and to visit almost any of the nearby sights beyond the village. It was an amazing holiday, and having this great place to stay was a really important part of it!

Our host was kind and kind. He was very responsive to our requests. We were pleasantly surprised by the apartment, a spotless bathroom, a very well arranged kitchen, two very nice large bedrooms with great bedding. A quiet exterior, with lovely views. We would highly recommend it.

Jean and his wife are warm and discreet. Their apartment is spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated. There is absolutely everything you need in kitchen equipment and bedding. A very good bakery and a supermarket are close to the accommodation. In short, nothing is missing from what you could want. We would recommend this place without reservation.
