Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

Troedyrhiw is a sanctuary, a two bedroom, detached, character stone and beamed cottage nestling in a peaceful, wooded valley on the Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire border where nature is thriving. Rustic and comfortable. We are doggie friendly, are happy to welcome well behaved dogs. Troedyrhiw is the perfect base for being in nature, walking, cycling and exploring the scenic areas of this beautiful part Wales. The cottage was built in the 1800's and is a traditional, stone Welsh cottage.

Village amenities such as an artisan bakery, independent shop/ cafe and heritage centre are all within a three or four minute walk.

Guests love the view across the bay to the Gower and the peaceful country setting - with mature private garden, terrace & BBQ. Situated on the Welsh Coastal Path, we provide a base from which to explore the glorious Welsh coastline. A haven for wildlife with regular sightings of red kites, badgers and for the lucky few, otters at play. Holt Cottage is set in the countryside that Dylan Thomas would have gazed upon and has view of his Boathouse and Writing Shed.
