Your own peaceful and private suite with your own entrance, private bath, kitchen, and lots of windows. Easy check-in with the keypad. Guests have an entire floor in our house, WiFi, outdoor table and seating. It is hidden in the woods. Guests have a great view overlooking a pond and enjoy watching the horses on the property. Just 10 minutes from Clarkson University, 20 minutes from St. Lawrence University and one hour from Lake Placid. We stay on our own floor, never compromising your privacy.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country paradise! Enjoy all the seasons here with the main snowmobile/ATV trail right at the end of the driveway. Go for a hike, or horseback ride through the Brasher State Forest trails. Or maybe a fishing/hunting trip, as there are 30k acres of beautiful public land surrounding the river front property and a variety of fish in the river (musky,walleye,bass!) A quiet dead end road, that turns into a a trailway that can take you as far as Old Forge!

Sleep at the Stables- A Country Retreat

Enjoy our country getaway on 130 acres, just minutes from Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam, St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton. Explore our horse barn, hiking trails, stream, or relax by the pond. We are located close to great snowmobiling and skiing trails also! The studio apartment is located above a newly constructed garage, that is not attached to our house so you have plenty of privacy. It is an open layout with a queen bed, a daybed, and a twin trundle that can be pulled out.

Riverside Cabin & Nature Trails

Enjoy our 160 acres in a private natural setting. Owls, trout, heron, osprey, mergansers and the occasional loon will add to your stay. There are over 4 miles of private trails for hiking along the river and in the woods. Kayaks & fishing poles provided. Enjoy a romantic riverside fire-pit, professional massage table & new Finnish wood fired sauna. We sanitize everything 110% before your arrival and offer self check in. Upon reaching the Deer River Rental, you will find yourself in a beautiful getaway nestled away on a dead end road in the country with a river running directly behind the cottage. A delightful footpath along the river along with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit only add to the beauty. Breathe in the fresh air as you unwind from traveling; you can finally relax- you’ve reached your home away from home! The newly renovated cottage is squeaky clean awaiting your arrival!
