Pet-friendly holiday rentals in French Island

Absolutely amazing for my family of 5!!! Each of my kids had their own room with plenty of space to hang out. Beautiful little backyard with a firepit that we sat around in the quiet evenings. We were able to walk around the neighborhood and felt completely at ease. It's also super close to great hiking trails and a cheap Uber to bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!!!

I loved our stay with Ashley at Paint Creek Place! It was quiet, peaceful and clean! The place was very cozy and allowed us to watch tv, cook, enjoy nature and disconnect! We also brought along our dog who very much enjoyed the creek and the smells along the way. Thank you Ashley! I would stay again :)

This was our second time at the River Shack and it didn’t disappoint. Theresa is very friendly and responsive! I will recommend her place to anyone staying in the area. The river views and the garage are perfect!

We had a great visit! Our two dogs loved watching for the bunnies and watching the cows peacefully graze across the road. We had a lovely picnic dinner under the pine tree on a beautiful night. Great area and we will be back. 😊

Megan was such a friendly and responsive host, and her home was the perfect place for my kiddos and me to stay when we were visiting family in Winona! The home has a beautiful, big fenced-in yard with plenty of grass to play in, all of the amenities that we needed, including smart TVs, all of the kitchen appliances we wanted, games and puzzles, and a nice long driveway. It’d also located just across the street from the lake, which is really convenient and so lovely! All of Megan’s amazing photography lining the walls is an added bonus :) We can’t wait to stay here again the next time we’re in town. Thanks, Megan, for giving my crew such a cozy and comfortable place to land!

The five of us stayed only one night (including one dog) and we thoroughly enjoyed the space. Roxie (the dog) appreciated the instructions aimed specifically at her. We loved the view of the river out the picture window and from the high deck. The spacious open-plan kitchen-living-dining room is sunny, spotless, uncluttered, interestingly decorated, and homey. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable, the bedrooms nicely laid out. I'd love to have a longer stay at Anne's house.

great little gem! adorable house that is surprisingly incredibly spacious. the kitchen is large and equipped with everything you need. tons of beds and each room is really comfortable. the property is so pretty and peaceful. we stayed up far too late around that fire pit too! we will absolutely be back. Rachel is a great host too. excellent communication and was willing to work with us. definitely recommend staying here!

This is a lovely place to stay if you're ever in Viroqua. On a quiet street but walkable to everything. One person (out of 6) felt stuffy inside--maybe since it's an older house, and was able to stay elsewhere after her first night. The rest of us, usually sensitive to those things, felt fine. Overall, we loved it!

We loved our week at Lori’s place. The pool, the hot tub and the massage chair made it easy for us to fully relax and wind down for the week. The kitchen was also well equipped, but we also enjoyed some of the local restaurants as well and they were fabulous as well. The touch of local menus on the welcome pack helped us choose fun local spots. Would absolutely book this location again.

We really enjoyed our stay! Right off the highway but still felt tucked away. It had everything we needed for a good stay!

We had a great time and really enjoyed the house! It’s centrally located, yet quiet at night, and the neighbors we ran into were very friendly. Our kids loved the heated pool (and the amazing pool toys!), and it was great being so close to the lake - each morning we walked the path/sidewalk to spot eagles and other wildlife. One night, we built a bonfire in the solo stove - super fun. Beau was also very communicative and responsive. Definitely a trip to remember!

A very nice cabin with all the amenities we needed and close to the waterpark. It had everything we needed for a nice weekend getaway. Had a great time with friends and family with the fireplace area in the back which really helped us feel relaxed and had alot of fun.

Great location, a nice getaway to relax, plenty of space for bigger families, the pond in the back is wonderful. we enjoyed our time here and hope to come back !

Perfect home for a larger family or group! We really enjoyed our time at Mindy’s home. There was plenty of space for everyone and the pool and hot tub were bonuses! We were in town for a wedding and Mindy was very flexible with check-in and very responsive and kind. Beautiful location with a ballpark right across the street. Highly recommended, Thank you!

Fantastic house. Very private and peaceful. Owners were very responsive and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and recommended places to hike or see. Highly recommend this rental if you are looking to get away and recharge. Sheep are a bonus.

The houseboat was a unique and fun variation on vacation stays. It was a busy marina but quiet by 9:00 so no problems with noise. Several nearby restaurants to choose from or could cook/grill on the boat. I communicated with Greg via text, he was very willing to help but no issues so no need for further communication. I would highly recommend this location.

Rodney's little cabin is the perfect place to unplug, to unwind, to be surrounded by nature and for peace and quiet. It was exactly as described, neat and tidy. Rodney provided an extensive list of places to go and things to do in the area, which was so helpful, especially coming from a local who has so much pride in his community. The Viroqua area is a hidden gem in western Wisconsin and this is the ideal place to stay there.

Our family had a wonderful stay! We loved that our kids were able to bike around and play at the parks near by. We all loved kayaking too. The tiny house had everything we needed and was really clean and nice. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We definitely plan to visit again in the future.

The pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was clean and very beautiful. There were gifts from the host and this place is very accommodating. The host is very welcoming and kind. Definitely recommend.

The Ridgetop Retreat was just what was promised. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. only thing I'd note, the sun comes up and shines right in the windows so, if you like to sleep in at all, bring a sleep mask!

The place is awesome, especially if you plan on bringing a boat! You can dock right there. Ryan is a super chill guy and really helpful. Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful cabin in private area. Very quiet and secluded. Lovely decor and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Rick responded promptly to all communication.
