Notso Hostel Brazil Room
Location was good. Host was communicative. Everything was as expected!

The Kingsolver Room @ The Annex
Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms in a great location - excellent place to stay!

The Austria Room
Great stay! The host was very responsive and helpful! Such a good location for CHS!

The Hemingway Room @ The Annex
First time staying at a hostel, it was great! Host was super responsive and the place was clean. Would stay again :)

Notso Hostel Kenya Room
Notso on Spring St is a clean and comfortable place within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. I stay here whenever I visit Charleston for the kitchens and old house feel. The hostel is a little quirky with its small private rooms and simple beds. But there’s a place to park a car and store luggage so it’s great for short stays in Charleston.

The Kendall Room @ The Annex
We stayed one night. Clean room, safe neighborhood and walkable to many restaurants and shops down King Street. We took an $8 uber to the south end of Charleston where we went on a 2-hour walking tour of south Charleston. After the tour, we walked back to Notso Hostel stopping for dinner, ice cream and shops along the way. It was a delightful day. We walked to BaBa Coffee (less than a block away) in the morning before leaving town. Wonderful coffee, banana bread & almond cookie.

Charming Historic Inn*
Wonderful stay. It was so romantic and such a cute place. Location was phenomenal, could not have asked for anything better. We walked everywhere throughout the French quarter and pier. Also our room was extremely clean. I’ve never stayed somewhere so clean.

The Monet Room @ The Annex
I stayed at Notso’s place for a quick trip to Charlotte and overall, it was a decent budget-friendly option. The room was on the smaller side and the space is definitely more of a hostel vibe, with shared bathrooms and other guests staying there. The bathroom itself was okay, although there was some hair left in the shower which wasn’t ideal. That said, the price was really affordable (around $100, which is cheap for the area), and the location was walkable and convenient. Communication was great throughout—responses were quick and clear, which I appreciated. If you’re looking for a no-frills, inexpensive place to crash in a good spot, this does the job.
Hotels with a pool

The Starlight Motor Inn - King + Pool!
Staying with starlight is always a pleasure. We extended our stay with them this trip and they made the process completely seamless.

Boutique Hotel in Mount Pleasant
Hotel Indigo Mouth Pleasant was a wonderful property to stay at. We booked last minute and had no issues. Lobby was very nice and so was the lobby bar and pool. Rooms were very clean and very nice to stay in. Close to downtown Charleston. Very nice and respectful front desk agents. Check in and Check out was very smooth. Loved the stay.

Folliday Inn: The Torpedo: Room 22
We recently stayed at the Folliday Inn. The place was spotless when we arrived and still smelled fresh. The area was super cute and the pool and patio were well maintained. The location was in within a short walk to the beach and Center street which we loved! The only two things that caused a hiccup was the shower would turn cool randomly, but turning the handle more to the hot side solved the issue and secondly my blow dryer blew the breaker which took about 4 hours for someone to come out and fix (Holiday weekend and they were busy). It wasn’t a huge deal since we were heading out for a few hours anyway, the AC was still working just no lights. Overall it is the perfect stay for a few days away!!

Shem Creek Inn, MARSH SIDE KING
This was my first time at Shem Creek and it was amazing. I had a great experience. The room was clean comfy. The view was exactly what was shown in the pictures. There was a lot to do around the area. I will definitely be coming back.

Folliday Inn- The Falls River: Room 14
Such a cute place inside and out. Everything we needed for our stay. Location was great too.

Your Getaway to Charleston: Free Breakfast, Pool!
This was a great room and location. Parking was super easy. There was immediate interstate access and great restaurants nearby. Host was super responsive and very helpful. Room was clean and super comfy. Felt safe here and would consider booking with this host again.

Luxury Accommodation w/ City View! Coffee Shop!
Absolutely amazing stay!! We stayed here the night of our engagement and it was AWESOME! Beautiful views of the city, absolutely stunning hotel, perfect room! Everything was great!!

Folliday Inn- The Streamliner : 31
The place was immaculately clean and very well laid out. Large bathroom, comfy bed, nice little kitchenette and entry room. Was perfect for us. And literally a 3 min walk to the beach. We could have been happier.
