Geitsetra

Recharge your batteries in this unique place, Geitsetra, right under Skagsnebb, in the middle of Jotunheimen. Here you have many of the famous 2000 meter peaks in Jotunheimen right outside the door, a great starting point for both hiking and skiing. From Sep/Oct there is no running water so we bring water in cans to the farm until the turn of the month May/June. This was originally a goat farm, but now the barn is empty and on the 2nd floor there is a spacious apartment, but great views. If you have any questions, please let me know🙂.

Apartment with special features in a house from the 19th century with its own entrance on the 2nd floor in a residential building is rented out. Walking distance to Lom city center is 800 meters. With a good fireplace you can enjoy the silence and the real cabin feeling. Great starting point for climbing Galdhøpiggen or many spring ski trips in Leirdalen, on Sognefjellet and or in Visdalen. There are five buildings on the farm that are from the 1800s. Sauefjøset was renovated in 2023 for rental. There are two double beds (150 cm) - one downstairs and one upstairs on the loft.
