Staying at Tom (and Mark's) home was an absolute highlight of our trip to Ireland. From the moment we arrived, Tom welcomed us with warmth and kindness (and Whiskey!), making us feel right at home. He is not only the sweetest man but also an exceptional host and conversationalist, with stories and recommendations that made our stay even more memorable. The atmosphere in his home is authentic and truly magical, capturing the essence of Ireland perfectly. And the breakfasts—wow! Each morning, we were treated to delicious, homemade meals and French press coffee that set the perfect tone for our day. Tom's hospitality made our trip to Ireland truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

I immediately felt welcome and at home in Ann’s house. Her attention in the morning to everyone who stay’s there is incredible. She makes everyone breakfast, and has fresh baked croissants every single morning. The house is easily within walking distance to Galway City. Her daughter Paula is there also to welcome you and recommend places to eat at night. What a true treasure it was to find Ann’s home. All I can say is thank you for making a solo traveler at ease. You truly embody the saying Cead Mile Failte.

Linda’s place was fantastic, newly renovated, clean and with a parking just in front, within walking distance of everything. Linda is a fantastic host. She helped us find parking and reminded us to make diner reservations. She was available for questions, very responsive and kind. We found the location very noisy because it’s located at the heart of Galway and the nightlife in the city is bustling no matter the day of the week. Locals and tourists alike can be a loud bunch so don’t forget your earplugs ;) Especially on Friday night, my partner only slept four hours because of street noise. Nothing our host can do about it but it’s worth knowing.

The room was exactly as described and it’s in a great location just a short walk from the main Salthill road. A really great base for exploring Salthill and easy to get into Galway from too via bus or taxi. JJ and Mary couldn’t have been better hosts! Their hospitality was second to none and they were so kind in preparing breakfast and make sure I had anything I needed. The room was comfortable and clean and felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely bnb!
