The stone cabins at Kastad farm are remotely located in stunning natural surroundings. The cabin in the forest, like the other cabins, has a fantastic view of Mjøsa and Kastadtjern. Here you can cozy up with your loved ones at this family-friendly place. Located for themselves, not in cabin fields. Nearest cottage area is Gamlestølen with alpine slope, cross country ski trails and restaurant. Very nice walk area both around cabin and in Etnedal itself, Valdres. Here you can walk both long and short walks, bike. In winter it is possible to go cross country skiing. There is a lot of blueberries right by the cabin. The cabin itself is very well equipped, has most of what you need for everyday life.

Short distance to the Birkebeineren Ski Stadium, which offers an extensive network of hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks. 15-min drive to Nordseter, about 20 minutes to Sjusjøen, both with excellent trails for hiking and skiing. The ski jumping hill is 3-minute drive from the cabin and offers a great view. 5-min drive to grocery store. For alpine skiing, Hafjell is 25 min away, and Kvitfjell is about 1 hour.
