Michelle and her husband were absolutely wonderful hosts. They welcomed us warmly, shared great conversations, and made us feel right at home—especially during the delicious breakfast together. The property exceeded our expectations—it looked even better than the photos, with stunning mountain views despite being right in the city. Both the rooms and the balcony offer beautiful vistas. The home is thoughtfully designed with incredible attention to detail. Every little need has been anticipated, and any potential friction for a guest has been thoughtfully addressed. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking or simply making tea and coffee. The bathrooms are spacious, clean, and come with clear instructions. The balcony is large enough to comfortably accommodate the full group the place can host. My family and I truly loved everything about our stay, and it was made even more special by our kind and welcoming hosts. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gangtok—it’s a gem.

Great place! The homestay is erally great. Everythings works nice and the house is like you see in the pictures. My favorite part was the balcony that had an amazing view. Devdarshan and his family were really nice and were always checking in if things were okay. The kitchen is simple and could be more equipped, but I was able to cook nice things and, as I said It, it matches the photos and the description. It's a simple and nice place, close to the main road. If you looking for a nice, simple and calm place to stay in Gangtok, Bartola homestay is your place.

I had a wonderful stay at Tsehyal's place in Gangtok, Sikkim. The experience was smooth and pleasant from start to finish. The cleanliness of the property was top-notch, and everything was well-maintained and comfortable. Communication with the host, Tsehyal, was excellent—very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The location is also a big plus—easy to find and conveniently situated for exploring the city. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely recommend this stay to anyone visiting Gangtok!
