The Pines Treehouse @ Treetops Hideouts
The Pines Treehouse is nestled underneath a huge oak tree sitting high above the running water of Sand Beck. Nature cocoons you and you can reach out and touch the trees, see wildlife all around you amongst the pines. With breathtaking views through the tress and across the valley you are completely private having no other accommodation on the site making this a truly unique and special experience. A great effort has gone into creating this space to allow you to simply relax and reset in nature.

It provides a unique location for walking, honeymoons, or romantic getaways and is perfect for that special anniversary, birthday or simply for those just wanting to relax. Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

Stunning views, superb cottage
We are a 5 minute drive to Alston (petrol, gift shops, pubs, pub food, home made gifts, spa/co-op, mini railway, bike hire, C2C, fishing, cycling). The Lake District, the Borders and the North East are just a drive away. The new build apartment sleeps 4 in 2 upstairs bedrooms (microwave, washer dryer, dishwasher, tv, DVD, wifi, parking, bike store). There’s a stunning view from every window including the shower room, there is no bath. We’re very rural the WiFi can be somewhat unreliable.

Nenthead accommodation ideal for exploring
In the heart of the North of England you will find our accommodation set within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The rooms we offer have been designed with the explorer in mind, to use a base to explore the local surrounding area, the Lake District, Northumberland and Durham. We have had guests walking the Isaacs Tea Trail as well as cyclists doing the C2C. After a long day exploring the local area return to refresh yourself in our spacious bathroom complete with underfloor heating.

Chapel View
All electric stone cottage with two double bedrooms, ideal for walkers and cyclists. On the C2C and Pennine Way, a quarter of a mile from Garrigill with quaint village shop and Post Office and 3 miles from the small town of Alston, reputedly the highest market town in England. Alston has pubs, cafes and shops to enjoy as well as a heritage railway and plenty of walks. Parking for one car at the front, cosy for a large SUV or pickup. The front garden is currently a ‘work in progress’.

Shepherd’s Hut, Alston, Cumbria
True countryside living with a touch of comfort. Wind your way into the hills along narrow lanes and eventually come to The Hideaway. Sat on the original stone floor of a former cow byre, our cosy Shepherd’s Hut is surrounded by idyllic countryside and the magical North Pennines AONB. The views are stunning, the peace unbroken and the night skies incredible. It is the perfect base for a few relaxing days in the countryside or to explore the superb hiking and biking routes.

The Barn
Escape to our beautifully restored sandstone barn in the heart of the Eden Valley, Cumbria — an ideal retreat no matter the season. Nestled amidst stunning countryside in close proximity to both the Lake District and Pennines, this charming getaway offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, with original timber beams, a wood-burning stove, and a private outdoor patio and lawn. The Barn can be booked along with The Byre next door for pairs of couples.

The Mill, Rutter Falls,
Comfortable converted watermill sleeping one or two couples, overlooking a spectacular waterfall, in the tranquil Eden Valley, between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The deep pool below the falls is ideal for cold-water swimming. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or watching abundant birds and wildlife, for honeymoons, anniversaries or engagements! You won't find accommodation closer to rushing water than this! No under 12s. Check in Fridays and Mondays only.

Old Sunday School - pet friendy, hot tub hideaway
This cosy property has it's own private spa. Newly built for 2024, the spa area forms the entrance to the property featuring 2 seat hot tub, rainwater shower and feature original stone wall with lantern roof window. This beautiful hideaway is completely hidden from view, overlooking rolling velvet farmland of the North Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty and has been refurbished to an extremely high standard with attention to design and detail.
