The Old Milking Parlour, cosy rural retreat

JulieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What a beautiful place to stay. Plenty of space with everything you need. Hazel was so welcoming and helpful Surroundings were so peaceful and only 2 miles to shops and facilities so having a car made it easier. Everything was lovely and clean. Would love to come back.

Fairview Apartment

Joanne’s place is very comfortable and just a short walk from the village centre. The breakfast in the cafe on site was delicious. Joanne was very welcoming. We will stay again when back in the area.

Beech nut shepherds hut

RosieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay here, however there’s a few things to note! It is in earshot of their campsite which was noisy when we stayed - loud music at night etc. The map on Airbnb is wrong and the directions given on the listing only made sense if you were coming from one direction which we weren’t. We got very lost and drove round for 1.5 hours before eventually finding it! Maybe the host could use the What3Words app to make it easier for other people? Also the photos don’t show just how close this hut is to the house and other airbnbs, meaning the hot tub and outdoor area isn’t very private. We also didn’t receive the free prosecco but we booked the day before so maybe that was on us. Apart from this, we had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this shepherds hut, and loved the donkeys and other animals!! Big thanks to Neil and his family :) (Plus the bed is so comfy, best nights sleep ever)

Upper Helmsley Hall

Stunning. What a place. The pictures are impressive but don't fully convey the majestic splendour of this place. Your own Saltburn. David made our group feel really at home, was flexible, helpful, informative and really made our stay comfortable. For a big group this place is perfect for all spreading out or getting together in the dining room or Oak Room in the evening. The grounds and surrounding countryside are beautiful and only about 20 minutes to York. Incredible. Hope to stay again.

Courtyard Cottage

We had a wonderful short stay at this lovely home! The space was clean, cozy, and just what we needed for a relaxing break. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming — we especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh bread, eggs, milk, and jam waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a nice surprise and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming stay!

Stayed at sadlers cottage for the weekend. The cottage was lovely, it looked brand new and well kept by the host. I would happily stay here again on a York trip. Thank you Jane for the gifts left on our arrival!

Dunnington annexe with a view

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, wonderful and peaceful, away from the town centre but very easy to get into town using the park and ride close by. Annex was perfectly presented, clean, tidy and had everything you needed. Couldn't be happier. Would love to stay again.

10mins to York centre with parking Darcy's Cottage

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great communication, Michelle gave us the opportunity to check in early. The property is in a stunning, secluded location. The property has a very well equipped kitchen with beautiful period features, welcome pack with lovely jam and scones were much appreciated. The bathroom was probably the largest we’ve seen and was definitely a place you can relax in. Close proximity to York, great bus service 5 minutes walk away made this the perfect place for sightseeing and shopping in York.
