Parker’s Cottage. Sleeps 5. Grade II listed

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Pleasant drive through the beautiful valley down a winding lane leading to this property with some gates to go through. Amazing views down and from the bottom of the valley and the front of the accomodation too. The accomodation was found unlocked with the key hanging up inside behind the door, never had such an easy check-in. There was some pet hair and dust on the stairs (we didn't have dogs with us) but this didn't spoil our experience over the 2 nights we stayed. All of us 4 friends said we'd happily stay again and more than likely will, although I'd quite happily move there right now.

Ridge House, Cautley, Cumbria

HafsaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Ridge House. The location is incredible with walks right from the door into the surrounding hills. It’s 5minutes drive from Sedburgh as well which has a butcher and grocer, some nice pubs and lovely walks along the river. However, that said, the house is just so gorgeous, with such attention to detail, that you’d be forgiven for just staying there and not going out! The outside space is a lovely sun trap, the living room has beautiful views and the kitchen dining room is a fantastic family friendly room. Mary and Jonny were both incredibly hospitable and we were so grateful they shared their home with us!

The Barn at Blease

JennyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay at The Barn! Joanna was a fantastic host – warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and gave great local recommendations. She was also really responsive to messages and flexible when we asked about early check-in and late check-out, which made everything so much easier. The Barn itself is even more beautiful than the photos – cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches like bathroom minis, a great selection of books, and fresh apple juice in the mornings. The welcome manual was clear and helpful, although we didn’t need to refer to it much thanks to Joanna’s warm welcome and explanations. The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great night’s sleep. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend staying here – and we’re already hoping to return. Thank you so much Joanna for such a lovely stay!

Helmside Cabins

I can not rate the cabin highly enough. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable. Ian is a great host, looking forward to going back with more time as it was just a stop on a long drive for us.

Lake House W/ amazing countryside views & Hot-Tub

AnahiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Amazing place, just what we needed. Good selection of utensils in the kitchen. To make it even better a pair of scissors and perhaps a few more glasses would have been great. The house was generally clean but there were areas with cob webs, very heavy dust on the fan in the main bathroom and the light above the sink (just for reference to the cleaning team. It did not detract from it being a great place. Lots of travellers this week on their way to Appleby, heavy police presence. No trouble at all encountered.

Hobsons Cottage

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is an absolute gem, we were bowled over with the standard of everything! The attention to detail, the luxurious feel and look of everything, you will not be disappointed. The area is really outstanding in beauty and the views through the windows were unbelievable. The beds were exceptionally comfy, something we always struggle with, but not here. Two fires with all the fuel left ready for us, the chocolate, wine and biscuits so very thoughtful. It was warm, spotless, thick cosy carpets, games and thoughtful books provided. It was so relaxing and we were really impressed. We have stayed in lots of holiday cottages and this was the best of all of them. Whomever styled the place and picked all the furnishings and decoration needs commending. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be coming back.

The Wash House - cosy & centrally located bothy

BillRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very pleased with accommodation and facilities as described - the Wash House was clean and nicely furnished with a wood burning stove if required and table and chairs outside. Great location in the centre of Sedbergh with shops, pubs and food to hand. Beautiful walking country on hills or along the river. Thank you Nicholas for an enjoyable weekend.

Baugh Fell View near Hawes, the Dales

FionaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We would definitely recommend Baugh Fell. We stayed as a family of 4 with teenagers . Had some precious family time with no distractions! The property is immaculate and beautifully decorated and designed to a high standard. Oh and the welcome pack was amazing! Close to the train station and only 10 mins in the car to Hawes for shops, cafes etc. We drove to the 3 peaks which took about 30mins so fab location to explore the Yorkshore Dale's. We will definitely return and stay here again. Thank you for a fab, stress free stay. Fiona, Andy, Emily & Mathew
