Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Gerokgak

My stay at Putu’s place was amazing. The apartment is within a homestay and I felt part of his family. They were always watching out if I felt right. The place is silent, beautiful, clean, with all the essence of a local balinesse home. Pictures show a modest place while the stay is new, clean and spotless. I felt serene, welcome and priviledged. Ps. I tried to stay longer but it was booked :(

Lovely house overlooking a rice terrace and small private garden including a koi pond and Bali hut. Each bedroom had its own large bathroom and are separated by a full kitchen where Putu cooked us delicious breakfast each morning. It’s short walk down the beach, and you can walk to Balian Beach at low tide. Wayan can also organise a scooter for you to hire. Backs onto the main road so unfortunately a little noisy with traffic, but otherwise we loved staying there.

My family of 4 with 2 young kids stayed for two full months and Dewa and the whole staff treated us like family. On several occasions Dewa went way out of his way to help us and made sure we had everything we needed to have the best stay. We rented a fence to go around the pool to make it safer for the kids cost around $100 cad/month. Dewa set us up with scooter rentals and they were there ready on our arrival. The cleaning ladies were so sweet with my kids and not having to clean was a highlight of my trip. They also provided all the drinking water. The area has one nice restaurant within about 5 min walk through the rice fields and another 10 mins along the busy road. Was very happy over all and would recommend.

The Paya Paya Villa was the perfect accommodation for our adult family's annual holiday (four pairs of adults). Each couple had their own well appointed beautiful bedroom and ensuite giving them their own space within the Villa whilst the outside area and open living room allowed us all to come together for meals, card games, massages and drinks by the pool. The Villa is exactly as described and the images do not express the peaceful feel and generous proportions of the home. The location was central to a diverse range of restaurants (recommend Lilo Indonesian Comfort Food & the Italian Restaurant); medical/pharmacy; "corner" store; and walking/scooter distance from Seminyak shopping district, the beach and Potato Heads. The Villa staff, Arie, Made, Yulis, Made and Ketut allowed us to easily enjoy what Bali had to offer and made our stay so memorable. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for us. It was very difficult to leave such an incredible country and people.

great place for a short stay in Mediwi. got some water leakage during pouring rain, but host was really helpful in dealing the issues. Need a motorbike if you want to stay here.

Kadek und ihre Familie haben uns den Aufenthalt wirklich so unkompliziert wie möglich gestaltet. Sie war immer ansprechbar und hat sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Sehr zu empfehlen ist, ihren Mann als Fahrer für einen Tag zu buchen und mit ihm die Besichtigung rund um Ubud zu machen. Toll war auch der eigene Pool und das nahegelegene Restaurant Baliku! unfassbar lecker!

Absolutely love this place! They have a nice pool and really strong WIFI. Also Hot water which is a plus since it can be hard to find here on the island. If you need a quick bite, there’s two restaurants right in front but if not, you can take a quick 5minute bike ride to Ubud Center; making this a good location. Can’t forget it’s priced right compared to other units nearby. The people who own/manage this has been beyond helpful and kind. Hope to stay here again ! <3

Besides having the absolute best and most comfortable bed out of any Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at, the place is so cute and cozy. The out door layout of the kitchen/patio makes the place feel really big. Walkable location to downtown Ubud, overall the place is perfect for long and short term stays. The hosts are also so kind and responsive, they brought me fresh fruit twice which was completely unexpected and appreciated . I would be back in a heart beat.

This villa was beautiful and clean. The staff was so lovely. We stayed in this villa with our two young girls and the yard and pool was perfect. Very kid friendly.

This bright, modern apartment was built in 2020. In a super good location in Seminyak, it’s still quite quiet but also within walking distance to many things. The bed was perhaps the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Wow! We slept like dead people, also because of the blackout curtains. Nice work! Shower was also great. Huge TV, huge bathtub outside with jets (although not enough hot water to fill it). Very friendly and responsive staff. Gym right below the unit, which is a nice touch. The one weird thing is that the bathroom door is glass, so there is limited privacy for anyone using it. This is not the “authentic” Bali experience but it is super comfortable and well priced. We could live here long term!

Had the best time at AIR. The apartment is so much bigger than expected and really comfortable. The location is great for the centre of Ubud while being out of the way enough to also be quiet. But by far the best thing was the interaction with other guests and the community vibe AIR has - breakfast conversations and evening hang outs (while feeling totally at ease being able to have my own space when needed). Whether you’re a creative or not, this place felt so welcoming.

Great villa for a short stay in Sanur. Close to Sanur Beach and lots of restaurants. Though you are right in Sanur the villa was very quiet. Rooms clean and spacious with good linen and towels. Separate kitchen and fridge great for being able to have a drink around the pool. Good value for money and would stay again.

5 couples. Superb time had by all. There was ample space indoors and out to keep everyone happy. The team was helpful, kind, always there in a quiet way, happy to book taxis, pick up groceries - they made our stay super special. The walking distance to the beach, restaurants and bars was a real plus - one of the best we have had in Seminyak. Cleanliness was excellent, with early morning relief as we found a perfectly clean house ready for the new day - even after a birthday celebration! Would recommend and stay here again. First off, we started at another villa and were not satisfied with the accommodations. I found this Villa by Agus and they responded immediately and allowed us to check in the same day within 2h of requesting. Walking through the wooden doors to the ambiance of the fountain pool and the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms as well as kitchen are overwhelmingly perfect. We cooked some of our own meals and ordered a meal and drinks from the host. They offer all kinds of services of which we had the 90min massage, flowers, dinners and beverages. They offer so much more, including the history of the Villa. The host, his wife and family and cute pups are so very kind and gracious. This was the perfect stay for us especially for spring break and taking time away. Relaxing, beautiful, and clean. I would choose this villa again and again. I was so pleased with the location, friendliness of the host, and truly peaceful tropical setting. Thank you.

Had a great stay here with a group of 12—the location is solid (just some construction nearby), but the host was very responsive and helpful with planning activities. Villa itself is beautiful with all necessary amenities, and the pool was amazing as well.

I wish I could talk in person to those considering this as their place to stay. The words I can write here will not do justice to how beautiful both the home and the owners are. The actual villa is stunning. Every detail has been considered. It is so comfortable, private, peaceful and safe. We live in a tropical region, in Australia, so are very familiar with the environment and the interesting stuff that comes with it. The villa is so cool and calming. We had a massage by the pool, and happily spent time just being in the spaces. BUT the true joy of this place is the owners. Naja and Leni. These two people will become instant family to you. I have travelled Bali many times and adore the Balinese people, but Naja and Leni are beyond beautiful. They will care for you like family, and it all comes from their heart. They truly love looking after their guests. Naja grew up in this exact village, so knows everyone. Nothing is too much for them to help your stay be perfect. I promise!

We had an unforgettable two-week stay at this stunning villa! From the moment we arrived, Atik and Nengah greeted us with such warmth and care. The villa exceeded our expectations – a perfect blend of modern comfort and Balinese charm, with spacious rooms, a beautiful pool, and lush gardens that made for a peaceful retreat. Our hosts made the experience truly special, going above and beyond to ensure our family had everything we needed. From arranging airport transfers to providing excellent local tips, they dealt very swiftly with an aircon and a locked door issue resolving within hours. The location was perfect – a short drive to the beach, great restaurants, and shops, yet tucked away enough to enjoy the tranquility of Bali. The villa was very clean, with fresh linens and daily housekeeping. All our family left having had an amazing time. We highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a family holiday in beautiful Bali!
