Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ghent

We LOVED our stay at Esteban and Joroen's. We had been attracted to the listing by the beautiful photos of the lush garden, the first floor outside decking , the bright interiors and the sense of peace and calm that was radiating out from the pictures. It was amazing to discover that it felt exactly like we had hoped and looked just as the photos but even more so. Such a peaceful and tranquil setting with everything we could need and more. We enjoyed three blissful days of cycling into Ghent on the provided bicycles, exploring the town and enjoying the food and drink options at the vast array of pavement cafe's and bars. In the evenings , after a stop at the nearby supermarket on our way back from town, we enjoyed the hot tub and then some drinks on the decking as we watched the sunset before preparing and eating dinner to the sounds of the wonderful assortment of vinyl that is on offer. In the mornings it was yoga in the lounge, surrounded by the plants, and then a cuppa on the deck

Een prachtige accommodatie. Je hebt gewoon een eigen klein huisje met eigen voor- en achterdeur. Alles is schoon, goed en compleet ingericht. Ook heel fijn dat we fietsen bij het huisje kregen. Daarmee kan je de hele stad makkelijk bereiken vanuit het rustige straatje waar de accommodatie ligt. Gent is een prachtige stad en deze accommodatie is zeker aan te bevelen! Vera en Marike

What a lovely space! The house is tucked away in a quiet street, yet easily walkable to the city centre. The interior is beautiful, filled with natural lights and plants. Spending time in the house was very relaxing- such a treat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay!

Fantastisch verblijf gehad in zeer mooie en propere vakantiewoning. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw en gastheer. Het huis is ideaal gelegen voor het maken van mooie fietstochten. Een echte aanrader.

It was a comfortable and cozy place to stay. Everything you need is in the house, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, adapter and so on. It is a peaceful place at night, just 2-3 minutes to the tram station, and a few minutes to the Gent station by tram, walkable to the city centre for site seeing. I highly recommend

Wat een prachtige plek! We hebben twee nachten genoten van deze geweldige locatie. De omgeving is schitterend en de accommodatie was van alle gemakken voorzien – echt aan alles is gedacht. De eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk en reageerden snel op onze vragen, wat we als heel prettig hebben ervaren. De tuin was een waar paradijs, met als hoogtepunt de dieren: de alpaca’s die we mochten aaien en voeren, en de kippen waar onze kleinzoon van twee enorm van genoot. Zo dichtbij de dieren zijn was voor hem (en voor ons) echt een bijzondere ervaring. Ook het weer zat mee, wat het verblijf extra fijn maakte. We kijken met veel plezier terug op deze dagen en raden deze plek van harte aan voor wie op zoek is naar rust, natuur en gastvrijheid.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem tollen Haus! Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung waren perfekt, der Garten uneinsehbar, die Betten gemütlich und alles war sehr sauber. Inge war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Gents Innenstadt war schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Une parenthèse de bien-être vraiment appréciée ! La nuitée avec spa a été une belle expérience : endroit calme, propre et très bien aménagé. Le spa était prêt à notre arrivée, parfait pour se détendre en toute intimité. Tout était pensé pour le confort, et l’accueil a été très agréable. On repart reposés et ravis !

Lovely space with easy access to everything in Gent. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future. Nicely decorated, spacious, clean, and comfortable.

We loved our stay at Adinda's apartment. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and it had everything you need inside. It was in a great location for exploring Flanders. Having the train station outside was useful for travelling to Bruges (15 mins) and Ghent (13 mins). The main high street in Aalter is around the corner, and there are two supermarkets nearby. Communication with Adinda was very easy, and she provided us with lots of useful information.

It's just a short stroll to the cathedral and belfry from the apartment, and not too much further to the castle and tourist information office. And the immediate surroundings are pleasant. We would recommend Filip's place to any couples visiting Ghent.

Lovely spacious art filled apartment with car park in peaceful location; it was like staying in an art gallery & we loved it. Short walk to bakeries, shops or tram/ train. Ideal base for exploring Brussels, Bruges, Ghent etc. John gave us some tips/ recommendations for our stay which were greatly appreciated.

The apartment is situated in a cozy neighbourhood with a supermarket and bakery nearby. It has a great roof terrace for relaxing evenings. The apartment is tastefully decorated. Recommend!

We hebben afgelopen nacht in deze fijne studio geslapen en het is ons erg goed bevallen. De locatie is perfect – rustig gelegen en vlak bij het bos, wat ideaal is voor een mooie wandeling. De studio zelf was schoon, comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook heeft de studio een eigen privé ingang. De host was bovendien erg vriendelijk en reageerde supersnel op berichten. Zeker een plek waar we graag nog eens terugkomen!

L’appartamento era impeccabile, super tecnologico e in perfette condizioni. Letto matrimoniale a castello comodo e doccia spaziosa. Tom e Jurgen hanno condiviso una serie informazioni importanti riguardo la zona e i dintorni e riguardo la casa prima del nostro arrivo e devo dire che sono state tutte molto utili. Mi manca già Ghent! Grazie e spero a presto ps. un saluto al piccolo Raoul

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Tille. L'appartement est très bien situé, dans un quartier paisible et à proximité du centre historique. Le logement est très bien aménagé et joliment décoré, à la fois pratique et douillet. Si nous revenons à Gand nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

We spent a long weekend in Bert's charming flat. The location is excellent, most of the sights are within walking distance. There are also great cafes, restaurants and shops around the corner. The balcony overlooking the Leie is very nice. The flat is stylishly furnished and has everything you need. Bert was very communicative and friendly.

I had a great stay in Antwerp. Sjack is a fantastic host and his place is wonderful. It is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Plus, it’s well located to transportation and an easy walk to most anywhere in Antwerp. I highly recommend this apartment!!

We loved our stay. Sara was very responsive. Check-in was easy, and the stairs were easy to navigate. The location is outstanding with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and retail stores. It is a very spacious apartment, and there was plenty of room for our group. We felt at home even though we stayed just 5 nights. When return to Ghent, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. Very comfortable with a large living room/kitchen space. Downtown Gent was just a short drive or the rail station is just a couple of blocks from the house. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Gent.

Our stay was great! We picked it as it was central to the many places we wanted to visit throughout Belgium, though it’s located in a quiet neighbourhood. Condo was very clean and spacious. Only comment would be if anyone has limited mobility, the stairs to get to the upstairs bedrooms are a little steep.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is super comfortable, very well appointed, uniquely decorated and in an ideal location, especially as we were travelling by train, although lots of parking nearby. The beds were very comfortable, it was very quiet and despite being 30+ degrees outside during late afternoons, the apartment remained incredibly cool. Our hosts were really helpful and all was perfect. Highly recommend.
