The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Waterfront - The Red Camp at Lake Bistineau

About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets. Please check out our adjoining property, Shades of Blue! Please note the lake drawdown to control the salvinia weed has finished and the water is rising and should be at full pull by the end of January 2025, ready for fishing and kayaking! Time to reserve for your summer fun!

My place is close to Grambling State University. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Our apartment is located above a restaurant so it requires that you climb stairs and unfortunately it is not wheel chair accessible.

Our 1 Bedroom Cabin is over the water on Lake Claiborne. Very Clean swimming area with great views of the lake. Boat ramp and dock for guest use. Can sleep up to 7 with ease. Easy to access the cabin for people who have trouble with steps. There is only one step up from ground level into the cabin.
