Lodge by the Lake South Lakeland Leisure Village

LynnRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

ClareRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay , the barn was beautiful ,mike was very helpful and friendly. My granddaughters was very happy to see the baby chicks hatching and the lovely fresh eggs went down well for breakfast , we didn't use the pool has the girl's was bad and and it would be nice if it was in with the price , £40 a day is a bit much if ur there for a few days and only using it for about an hour or so a day . A fantastic place well worth a visit

Mill House - Birdforth Hall Holiday Cottages

BradRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

I'd stay at Jackie's place again whenever I next visit no question. Good price, and the place is exactly as she's described. And whenever I messaged her she always responded back to me within 30mins at most which is excellent

Windermere - Private heated outdoor pool

AdamRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

ChrisRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Stayed here as a great location for the start of the yorkshire 3 peaks. The cottage was perfect, had everything you need for your stay. If you can't park outside there is a carpark which is a 2 minutes walk away. Highly recommend staying here. In a great location with shops and good restaurants.

Homely cottage by the river

NickyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay in Settle. The accommodation was as described, very clean and comfortable. It was a fantastic location with an easy walk into town with shops and restaurants etc. We enjoyed a historic ride on the Tornado steam engine trip from Settle to Carlisle which was thoroughly enjoyable. The cottage was very well equipped and the welcoming biscuits and milk etc were appreciated after a long drive. There was plenty of information booklets which were helpful. It helped us decide on a Chinese takeaway and a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Golden Lion, you'd not be disappointed with either options. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this home and location to potential visitors. The only downside is that I'm not still in Settle enjoying the excellent Yorkshire hospitality :)

Knotts View - Hot Tub & a EV charger.

Anne MarieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our 2nd visit to knotts view and it certainly won't be the last. Everything about the cottage is amazing and of such high quality, including the welcome pack! The views from every window are simply stunning! The weather wasnt the best when we were there but we still managed to have a bbq and several dips in the hot tub. All in all a great place to spend precious family time!

Elbeck House, Littondale

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a beautiful location and truly special place to say. From beginning to end, Tanya made us feel incredibly welcome. Even to the point of homemade carrot cake outside the from door when we arrived back from a long walk! We loved playing with their gorgeous dogs (who are super well trained and will leave you well alone if you're not a dog-lover). The place was immaculate, and the photos don't actually do it justice. Lots of cute and unique features and high quality finish. Right next to a gorgeous stream. I walked from there over the Pennine Way to Halton, a thoroughly enjoyable 9-mile jaunt. While leaving my partner to the 3 Peaks Challenge. And the super cute Ns characterful pub up the road was on the cherry on a very enjoyable cake. I'll definitely be coming again!

Luxury cottage with private courtyard

RossRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Sarah’s cottage is fantastically located for a 3 Peaks weekend. Right in the middle of Settle which has everything you could need from pubs, bars, restaurants, takeaways, a convenience store and is only 10 minutes drive away from Horton in Ribblesdale for the start of the 3 peaks walk. The cottage is a lot bigger than the pictures suggest and we comfortably had 3 grown men stay with out issue. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay and will definitely look Sarah’s cottage up next time I’m in the area! A trip to Janet’s Foss in Malham is worth a look too! Great natural water feature! Thanks Sarah!

Toad hole cottage

JulieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I loved this cosy, comfortable, cottage with a modern interior. Toad Hole has everything you need for a fabulous stay in a beautiful small market town. On your doorstep sits the town with lots of coffee shops, eating opportunities, pubs, local independent shops including a fantastic bookshop and very friendly inhabitants. You can access stunning countryside by foot from the town and experience breathtaking scenery in a few short minutes walk from the centre. The cottage is tucked up a hill, a very short walk from the Folly Museum and coffee shop. Given the nature of many of the traditional cottages, parking on-street can be difficult at certain times. The hosts recommend parking near the cottage - in Greenfoot car park, which I did. It would have been helpful to have the name of the car park in the info as there are a few car parks- when you first arrive it's a bit confusing but this was not a problem and the car park is a short walk to the cottage - but it is uphill. A fantastic stay.

Hall Garth Cottage, Clapham, 4 beds, dog friendly

KateRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were after a home from home, somewhere to explore various local areas. It delivered and more! Philip and Maria were excellent hosts, even informing us of the once-a-year Gaping Gill winch experience, and helping us to get tickets. This was truly above and beyond, and the highlight of our week. This beautiful cottage in it’s stunning location is perfectly placed to explore Ingleborough, and we are recommending it to our friends. The little touches like lovely toiletries, bedding and decent washing and drying facilities (great when you’re ‘all weather folk’ with kids and dog!) set this apart from other places. Would give 6 stars if we could. Definitely would love to return.

Dales Panorama - stunning views

kerryRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Beautiful cottage with stunning views. Such a peaceful location, the only noise is birdsong, and sheep baaing which was lovely to hear. Definitely a place to relax and unwind. My husband and I are both 70 and fell walks are not for us (too strenuous) so we found Foulridge reservoir and Letcliffe Park which were both more gentle and easier to walk. (both free parking) We also went Greenberfield Lock where we walked along the canal and then have a coffee at the Lock Stop Cafe (free parking). Freddie their dog is an absolute darling but sadly our little dog Lia wouldn't take to him. (Maybe she was jealous of the attention I gave him because he is so lovable!) Thank you Victoria and Ian.

Cosy Countryside Escape

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wanted a short break so didn't want to have to travel far from Manchester. This location was ideal just over an hour away. The cottage was brilliant. Lovely deco. Kitchen brilliant I like to cook and kitchen had everything needed...I could have cooked a roast dinner there. All utensils cooking pots plates etc there. Bathroom spotless and good shower. A bath there if you prefer a soak. Bed comfy. Location quiet but there are 3 pubs and 3 takeaway within 5 minute walk. Also a late opening Coop express and a chemist.Parking nearby is good. Natalie communications prompt. Would highly recommended this location...we'll be using it again. We did the Ingleton Waterfall Trail located just 20 minute drive away. Doing this was worth the trip alone. It is £11 adult but really is worth it. Is a proper walk not just a path so appropriate footwear needed. Take a picnic some great locations to eat. Takes a good 4 hours to do but waterfalls and walk are great day out. Plenty of steps though.

Auntie's House, Airton

We had a wonderful few days ( with our dog) at Rachael’s place. The cottage was immaculate and in a pretty village with lots of short walks from the cottage as well as longer ones in the area. The kitchen was well equipped and spotless. The outside space was lovely for an evening glass of wine -and the cookies Rachael left for us were delicious. Such a nice touch. The farm shop nearby does nice lunches, afternoon teas etc and the Victoria Inn in Kirkby Malham was great for pub grub. Well recommended
