Cottage holiday rentals in Gilford

The house was clean and well maintained. The view was gorgeous, too bad Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. It was cold and rainy. Used the fire pit nightly and it was nice. Linens were clean, towels were soft and fluffy and smelled freshly laundered. Kitchen was spotless and well stocked with pot/pans and dishes. Having a dishwasher was nice too. Two grocery stores (Hannaford and Market Basket) were close by and plenty of restaurants too. We came with the intention of doing nothing and just changing scenery for the weekend. This place was perfect.

We LOVED our girls weekend away. The 3 bedrooms and sleeper sofa offered ample space for everyone to spread out. The space had everything we could ask for! Unfortunately it was a wet weekend and we did not have a chance to make a fire / roast smores, however, we enjoyed so much more. We made our morning coffee and took the short walk to the waterfront to take in the surroundings while the sky was clear. Once back at the house, we were able to enjoy the outdoor space to the fullest - hot tub and there is a spacious pergola covering the patio set so we could sit outside to eat, play cards and stayed dry! And morning two, coffee on the front porch while rocking on the coziest of chairs. A great stay!

We enjoyed our stay. Nice and clean. Smelled fresh. The cottage was as described and even had more homey accents than expected - coffee maker, coffee pods, coffee milk, condiments in the fridge, toaster, snacks, nice dishes and cookware, great TV, comfy sofa and even an electronic fireplace in the main bedroom. Many thoughtful details throughout. Soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Extra towels. A hot tub ready to enjoy and kayaks at the house to use at the nearby lake. I really wish it wasn’t a downpour weekend so we could’ve used the hot tub and kayaks. Quiet neighborhood. Parking for 1-2 cars. Great notebook chock full of helpful information of the area. Nice touch! We would stay here again and can see this being a great location for summer with the lake and water availability. The owners were kind and very responsive to any and all feedback.

The place had everything that you needed for a comfortable stay.

This place was perfect for our family weekend of skiing! It was as advertised and matched the pictures. Marco's home is completely renovated and very clean. Marco was proactive with communication, checked the hot tub for us before we arrived, and gave us very friendly and clear instructions. Based on rentals, Marco let us check-in early and even check-out a little later which was very helpful and stress-free. We would definitely love to return!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful, quiet, waterfront cottage that had everything we needed (and more!) for our week-long stay. Jacky's place was exactly as described and she was very responsive and helpful throughout. Hope to come again!

They were accommodating, flexible, and very gracious. They had an entire binder of information with details about where to find fans, towels, flashlights, how to work the shower, heat, grill, and about anything else you can think of. It also had emergency services, restaurants, places to have a good time, and good details about checkout expectations. Overall we were extremely happy with the property and our stay, and were honored by the personalization they did for us specifically as it was our Honeymoon and they wrote us a custom note by hand for when we arrived. Highly Recommended - Will Rent Again!

This is our second time staying here! Rosanna is a great, responsive host! If you want a peaceful little retreat this is the spot! The screened in porch was my favorite! I will miss having my morning coffee there! It’s cozy, clean and perfect for our a little getaway with friends! Close to weirs beach, and neighboring towns! Such a gem!

Would absolutely recommend. We were looking for a place to stay with our baby while visiting friends nearby and this place was as described and worked great for us. It’s like luxury camping and you get to enjoy the beautiful lake views!

When we arrived at this small, lovely marina where the property is located, my first thought was: magical!!!!! Inside, a little oasis, modern and well appointed. A huge, comfy sofa, large TV, great bed and thoughtful amenities. We did not need the AC, but I tried it and it got cool, quickly. Outdoors: paddleboards, kayaks and a grill overlooking the lake and the homes along the lake. Stunning. It’s a less than a minute walk to the restrooms, which are also modern and pristine, and part of the experience. I genuinely loved our stay here! It’s a very special, private place in the best of ways. Highly recommend,

Rachel was so accommodating and helpful. I mistakenly booked the wrong dates and she quickly helped me change them, no questions asked. The cabin is in a great spot. Unfortunately it rained 24/7 while we were there so we didn’t really get to enjoy the lake like we wanted to. But we did enjoy the fireplace on the chilly mornings! Thanks Rachel!

We loved staying at King’s cottage! It was a beautiful home and so easily accessible. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to the lake!

This is a great property in a relaxing, quiet place in nature. The views were beautiful. There were many things to do outdoors, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The hosts were responsive and stayed out of the way. I highly recommend this AirBnB location.

We had a great stay at Paul's house. We were visiting for ski races at Proctor Academy - about 30 minutes away. The drive to and from was super easy. Bristol has a lot to do - great coffee shops, etc. The house was packed with amenities - the kids in our party loved the arcade games, upstairs hangout room, and air hockey table. The bedroom / bathroom configuration was perfect for our combined families (3 moms, 3 kids). The kitchen had everything we needed and more! Would love to visit again - thank you, Paul!

There were some high quality items which I would not expect in this kind of cottage - like the electric fire, A/c, coffee maker, shower, sinks. All of these items were top quality - no skimping here! All together a great experience. Also the weather was great ha ha. If I had to say anything was not perfect - the dog in the adjoining cottage was very noisy and also caused a few major "crashes" from next door - I think it was the dog, the wall appears thin. But I think that may not be controllable. We will be back.

Spent a peaceful fall weekend with my family at this beautiful lakefront cottage. We spent most of our time out on the dock or on the screened-in porch. Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms made us feel at home. Rebecca was a fantastic host - easy to communicate with, organized and very welcoming. Thanks for a five star stay!
