Waterfront holiday rentals in Gilpin County

We loved Diane's place so much it was hard to leave! The rushing creek was beautiful and we could hear its peaceful sound going to sleep, waking up & all day. The private beach along the creek was a special place to sit and read, work or talk on the phone. The short dirt road was flat/smooth so getting in & out and parking were super easy. The paved path along the creek to Pear St. picked up right there and the ~20 minute walk to town along the creek was also easy and very pretty. You can walk or run straight from the place to quickly be on trails up to Mount Sanitas or Anemone Peak & Red rocks which I did on back-to-back days. The place was clean and had what we needed including a grill so we were able to cook dinner there one night. Diane was fast and helpful with communication. We will definitely stay there again!

The value for us was in the location. Right next to the path along the creek in downtown. The unit itself was clean & met expectations. The owners even got us in early which was greatly appreciated. We love Golden & recommend this rental.

This was a last minute decision to stay here as we only needed a place for one night. once we arrived I wished we could stay longer. It was a perfect, cozy, hideaway. There was a creek right out our door, with chairs and a little table already set up to enjoy the nature around us. Plenty of places to hike close by, and the downtown Idaho Springs less then a 10 minute drive away for shopping and restaurants. We'll definitely be back, and stay longer.

We loved the accommodations and appreciated the upgrades and tasteful décor. The beds were comfortable, the towels, luxurious, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The building was rustic but the interior is comfortable and fresh. There were other residents living their lives, so could get noisy at times, but well worth the drive and the cost.

Great town home and location. Very responsive hosts. Would happily choose again next time we return.

Our family of 9 loved the Golden Guest House in Golden, CO. It was golden! It truly lived up to its name. Wow! The place felt like home with a very nice large kitchen with all the utensils we needed because we love to cook. The home interior / design was fun and inviting! Very cool! Accommodations were off the chart. Had more than we needed! No complaints at all. And the outside garden area was naturally beautiful and so comfortable to sit and enjoy the mornings. A great way to start the day. And the outdoor furniture and table suited our large family perfectly to enjoy evening meals together. Laura, was such a gracious and welcoming host without even meeting her in person. We felt welcomed and encouraged to enjoy the Golden Guest House. I highly recommend! Should we ever make our way to the Golden area, we'll know where we can kick back and enjoy. I hope to come back.

Had a great time in this cozy mountain getaway (so much so that we forgot to write in the guest book)! If you want to feel like you are in the mountains, this is the place for you. All the amenities needed plus lovely views. We had 5 adults and 1 child staying and the bedrooms/bathrooms worked well for us. Kitchen was well stocked and enjoyable to cook in together. The hot tub was a nice addition to chilly nights under the stars. Electric grill and outdoor table were appreciated. Downtown Idaho Springs is very close by (a short car ride) and has several restaurants (we enjoyed West Bound & Down Brewery and Frothy Cup) and shopping to explore. The location was great if you want to hike (we went to St. Mary's Glacier and Arapaho National Forest), raft (Clear Creek Rafting said water was at its peak in late June), and also a very easy drive to Denver (children's museum was a lot of fun on a rainy day). Thanks for providing a home away from home for our family getaway!

Large awesome house with a lot of amenities surrounded by a rushing creek in a gorgeous mountain scenery. The hosts were very accommodating and always responded to questions promptly. The house was well stocked with supplies and appliances. Super large game room with lots of games and activities for kids.

The house was clean, well stocked with complimentary snacks, trashbags, laundry detergent, towels etc. The Views and proximity to hiking, biking, and other amenities in Idaho Springs was ideal for our stay. The house is modern, comfortable and well laid out. My Wife and daughter particularly enjoyed the reading nook. The kids made use of the host provided snow sleds as there was no shortage of snow during our stay. We saw a resident Bull Moose lumbering around multiple times and even watched it mill around the edge of the pond while we were in the hot tub! In addition to the Moose we saw Mule deer and a Coyote/Wolf-(not sure which). The frequent wildlife sightings and snow really made the stay unique and memorable for us and the kids! You really can’t get the same experience staying in town. Ashlyn was an incredible host and was quick to respond to any questions we asked. Highly recommend this host and stay. -Dustin-

Amazing place right on the river. Caught a few fish and enjoyed the hot tub! The hot tub broke while we were there and they got it quickly fixed so we didn’t miss out! On a Sunday! Don’t miss out on this amazing place!

The house is spacious, spotless, and very well maintained—plenty of room for everyone. All amenities are exactly as advertised. While a pool table would have been a great addition, there’s already plenty to do, so no complaints there. Two things to be aware of: The altitude – You’ll definitely feel it, especially when going up and down the stairs. Noise detectors – These are installed throughout the house and are set to trigger at 60 decibels (about the level of a normal conversation). They weren’t mentioned in the main listing and only appeared in the secondary instructions. However, after discussing our concerns with the host, she agreed they were too sensitive and disabled them. One big highlight: our flights were canceled twice, and Mycah was incredibly helpful and communicative, even rearranging the cleaning schedule so we could stay an extra day and a half. That flexibility saved us! Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommend!

This place was amazing and exactly as listed. We spent every evening sitting on the patio listening to the creek that was right in the backyard. We ate at several of the restaurants they had recommended in their guest book and they were all so good. Super comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s place near Winter Park resort. The home was lovely, clean, and well stocked. We would stay again!

Rebecca was such a great host. Very responsive to all messages and super nice with all the questions I had. The condo was located in a very nice part of town and was very clean and exactly as described and as the pictures. We plan to come back to Georgetown next year and would most definitely book with Rebecca again.

The great location (right behind the best western) made this a really easy place to stay, and it's across the street from the bus stop to Winter Park. Something like four bus lines stop there - I think the longest I waited for a bus was five minutes. The locker at the resort is a total game-changer and made everything so much easier. If you're a ski town airbnb host reading this (anywhere) and have the ability to get a locker for your guests, please do it! The roku in the living room made streaming easy.

Loved our stay! We went for the skiing at Winter Park which was so conveniently close. The condo itself was perfect for our family. We ate in most evenings (although there are so many good restaurants near by) and enjoyed our post-ski evenings unwinding in the unit. Tammy was a wonderful and communicative host!

Clayton was very helpful, accommodating and quick to respond. The space was immaculately clean, there was ample kitchenware, countertop space and appliances and overall a very cozy spot in the mountains. 10/10
