The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.

Welcome to Whin Cottage, a cosy stonebuilt home on the South West coast of Arran. Dating from 1900 when it was a farm house, it looks out over fields to the southern Arran hills. Our cottage is a great place to escape from the many stresses of everyday life, have a digital detox ( no wifi by choice) whilst offering a perfect base from which to discover Arran. The Summer Hoose, a stunningly stylish cabin that’s the perfect place to retreat beside the fire, drink in hand and record player on. Nestled on Main Street in the picturesque village of Straiton they are just a stones throw from the local amenities. Sorry strictly no pets.

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

Tarsuinn, a charming and traditional cottage

Tarsuinn cottage is in an elevated location with spectacular views over the Shiskine valley surrounded by farmland. There is a small fenced garden to the side of the cottage with a bench in a very sunny spot. To the rear there is a farmyard belonging to the neighbouring farm, which is mostly a sheep farm and not too busy. Just a 5 minutes long walk away you can find the Bellevue farm and enjoy a guided tour and lots of animals, even Alpacas.
