In 2004 I got the chance to design my own family's week-end house in the village Pigniu. This fabulous place at 1300 meters above sea in the Surselva Region of Graubünden province, above the Town Ilanz, was well-known to me, for my parents owned an old farmhouse until the 1980ies here. The Spiral shaped chalet has the form of a band, changing from concrete in the base to wooden shingles upwards. The house is designed to connect us to the landscape we love. You will heat with chopped wood.

It is located in an originally renovated "Ammler" farmhouse as a separate residential unit with its own entrance. Das hauseigene Fitness steht zur Mitnutzung zur Verfügung. Im Winter ist man mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten an der Talstation des Skigebiets, im Sommer in 10 Minuten am See.

Gondola station Unterterzen (Tannenboden, Flumserberg) is 200 meters next to the apartment. Both beaches, the train station and a grocery store are within a short walking distance. The apartment offers 3 rooms with 4 sleeping options (1 bunk bed and 1 double bed).

Das Studio liegt am Rande des Dorfzentrums Weesen in einem ruhigen Wohnquartier. Der See liegt 150m entfernt, Ausflüge in die Region sind wegen der perfekten Verkehrsanbindung bestens möglich. Zusammen mit den Regionen Heidiland, Glarnerland, St Gallen und Zürichsee sind die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten im Umkreis von einer Fahrstunde beinahe Endlos. Das Dorfzentrum ist zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
