We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

The Hideout Cabin

Set up for up to four adults, this gorgeous home offers waterfront views, two luxurious bedrooms, a large kitchen with a Glemgas 6 burner gas stove and oven, an indoor fireplace, coffee machine and a fire-pit for enjoying balmy evenings. Add an absolute abundance of wildlife, fishing and swimming and you have the perfect getaway!

The Songbird | Waterfront Escape

Where the sea sings and time slows… On Bruny Island’s quiet edge, The Songbird - a 1960s shack, lovingly restored - offers a romantic hideaway just metres from the water’s edge. Linen-draped interiors, a flickering fire, and an antique outdoor bath invite you to pause. Wake to the morning chorus and the scent of salt air, and soak beneath stars as the world hushes around you. Our cosy and humble cabin - an old pickers hut from the farm's previous life as an apple orchard - is located in the stunning Huon Valley, with views across the stunning Huon River to the snow capped mountains of the Southwest. You would be hard pressed to find a more peaceful outlook for your morning coffee or afternoon wine as you take in the open skies and the local wildlife. Just a few minutes from the charming village of Cygnet and its many great cafes and shops.

Many pieces within the cabins are handcrafted by local artists and furniture makers around the Huon Valley. Guests will be provided with local food and a bottle wine for the first night of your stay.

AERIE retreat. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Access to the waterfront marine reserve is also exclusively available for our guests. A brilliant spot to stay summer or winter.
