The studio is located in the upper part of Biel, Canton of Valais, now part of the municipality of Goms. Goms is renowned for cross-country skiing tourism in winter and, in summer, for the Goms hiking paradise. The studio is about a 15-minute walk from the cross-country ski trail and the train station. Grocery store, restaurants, train and bus stop can be reached within a short walking distance.

The beautifully renovated flat is located in a century-old Swiss chalet with an unobstructed view of the Grindelwald mountains. Despite its quiet location, the house is in perfect distance to the mountain railways. The Eiger Express, the Männlichen cable car, the 'Terminal' railway station and the busses to the Firstbahn and Bussalp are all about a 10-minute walk away.

Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer.
