It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Come enjoy the simplicity of tiny living at the SML Tiny House (Smith Mountain Lake). Fully functional and ready to serve as your home away from home. Plenty of driveway space to bring your watercraft of choice with a short drive to a public lake put in. The entire tiny house is yours to enjoy located in the backyard of the main home. The bedroom is on the second floor only accessible via ladder pictured. EV Tesla level 2 charger on the property available upon request.

Otterview Mountain House

Otterview has one of the most incredible views in the state, a huge deck, and a pond. The house is open format with 3 bedrooms, a top-of-the-line kitchen, cozy living room, and an extraordinary great room. Look out at the Peaks of Otter, enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets. You are welcome to grill out on the Blackstone, enjoy the fire pit, and relax on the dock. There are two miles of trails on the 37-acre property with their own trail signs and map.
