House holiday rentals in Grandfather Mountain

Decided to take a quick trip for our one year anniversary and this did not disappoint . This place is beautiful and private . Make sure to get food before you go . You will probably not leave after you sit on the porch and get away from everyday life here . The little house is perfect and has everything you need for a get away!

We loved everything about our stay! The house was so cute, clean and exactly as described. Thoughtful and fun decor and toys for kids was a big plus. Tonyia was quick to respond and very helpful. There was a book of instructions/info in the house that was also useful. Overall this house was a perfect place to stay and we will absolutely stay again!

The view of the lake from the living room is one of the best in LandHarbor. The house is very well equipped - everything you need to enjoy, cook, a covered patio, and comfortable beds. I will be back again!

We had a wonderful time at Trace’s home. It was our annual family vacation. 11 of us from 3 months to 56. It was nice to have the pool for the kids and adults. We spent several days at the house. Loved the two living rooms. The kids had one and the adults had the other one. Plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and so were all the other rooms. Everything on the pictures is what we saw at the home. We had one small request while we were there and Trace was on the spot quickly. Loved having the downstairs bedroom for the teenagers and the game room. Loved the location and the home. We would rent this home again for sure.

Our family loved staying at Jared’s home. Lovely space, quiet but easy to get to Boone and Blowing Rock. Plenty of room for a family of five and we will certainly try to stay here again next time we are in the area.

We really enjoyed celebrating my little sisters graduation with a girls trip here. The hot tub and the outdoor seating was the highlight of the stay for sure.

The hosts did above and beyond. They were very responsive and helpful throughout all my questions. Would recommend to anyone visiting boone. Beautiful location, private and very near blowing rock.

Very cozy and comfortable home. Black Mountain is a charming small town with great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended. Did not really interact with Evolve beyond the welcome email. I did communicate with the owner a few times who was great. Very friendly and helpful.

This place is very secluded in the woods, very scenic! I saw a bunch of deer! It was very clean, WiFi was in and out, not a great signal downstairs where the bedroom is. Place was very clean, great for my short stay. One thing, which Michele did warn beforehand, there is no cell service for a mile or 2 when coming in. Waze took me up Howell Rd, which is not correct! If you are coming from the south on Rebels Creek Rd go past Howell and then a left on Castanea St. Very easy once I figured that out. Also make sure to get groceries beforehand. Your only real option is the Walmart in Spruce Pine, the Ingles has been closed since the hurricane. Overall a great stay! All brand new appliances and very pleasant! A+ Will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved this place! Meredith was quick with communication and responses. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful. The outdoor space with a view of the mountains was amazing! We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck and watching the world change colors at dawn and dusk. Kitchen was well-equipped. Not too far from town, but far enough to be quiet, peaceful and scenic. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this one.

We loved staying in the quaint cabin! Beautiful surroundings in a lovely neighborhood. The rooms are clean and well presented. Lots and lots of amenities in the kitchen - down to available scissors and tape. A/C system works great! Hot showers. Easy to get inside.

Very nice newer mountain home with a great deck and view. The two king bedrooms (plus a bedroom with 2 twin beds) were definitely a bonus and the beds were comfy while on the firmer side. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of games and puzzles with a reading nook and table and chairs in the loft. The home is decorated thoughtfully, efficiently and tastefully. Decor is modern and not fussy and very clean. Janet was pleasant to deal with and the location is very close to Boone and lots of family friendly attractions like Mystery Hill and Tweetsie only minutes away. Close to shopping and good restaurants, too. Would definitely recommend.

It was further off the paved road than expected but it was very accommodating. Owners were kind and responsive. Nice place

My wife and I needed a quick getaway and Mandy's place was perfect. We decompressed by taking in the mountain views from the porch. My wife and dog loved the porch swing. This place is very pet friendly and accommodating. Past guests complained about pet hair but we did not notice. The bed was super comfortable and the sitting room was perfect to take in the mountain views throughout the day. The little mulch area was just enough space for our pups to stretch their legs and relieve themselves. The binder was full of great suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home and neighborhood! Very peaceful getaway. Family friendly. Easy to get to Blowing Rock through back of neighborhood. Comfy beds. Melanie is incredibly responsive and went above and beyond! Back deck was covered with leaves and twigs from recent wind and rain - she shipped us a leaf blower same day so we could easily clean it off and enjoy it! We will definitely be back!

Matthew was an amazing host. They were very responsive and very friendly. We’ve been shared some laughs through messages. The house was amazing, squeaky clean, and the views are breathtaking when I’m back in the North Carolina mountains. I’ll definitely be staying with Matthew again.

Sheryl's place was one of the best air b n b's that we have rented the inside was clean, the hot tub was spectacular (especially with the sun setting) and it was very quiet/peaceful! The unit was very convenient to downtown sugar mountain, Boone and grandfather mountain. Sheryl provided a guide detailing instructions on the unit as well as nearby recommendations, which were helpful. We would gladly stay here again next time we take a trip to the mountains. Great home and lots of comforts as if you were at your own home. Loved the deer and quietness. The hot tub was a huge plus. We absolutely loved the downstairs living room as the views and sofa were so comfy. Absolutely will be back again, and recommend.

We had a great time. Everything was as we expected. We had 8 grand kids with us and they loved the creek. We found 23 salamanders along the driveway. The kitchen had every pot or pan we wanted and was very well stocked. We had the air conditioning go out and there was a repairman there within hours. WE had good communication with the managers.

This lakehouse is charming and beautiful. The hosts are always available to handle any questions. We always have wonderful stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Skipping Stones Getaway with our family of five. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat—surrounded by beautiful views and the kind of quiet that instantly helps you unwind. Christie and Donaven have thought of everything. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials (and then some). From extra phone charging cables to those little items you might forget to pack, it was clear they’ve put a lot of care and attention into making guests feel at home. We spent our days out on the lake kayaking, soaking up the calm and beauty of the surroundings, and our evenings enjoying quality time together around the fire. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Skipping Stones Getaway is the kind of place you want to return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, recharge, and make lasting memories in a truly lovely setting.

My sisters and I LOVED our time at Tony's home in Boone. It was perfectly located and every detail was perfect. The view from the porches was amazing and the furniture inside and outside was so comfortable. It was a quick 10 minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock and 15 minutes to Boone. We loved the welcome book with all the ideas for hikes and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you need for a weekend away. The bathrooms are updated and the towels are thick, the beds are so comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! Highly recommend this home!

This place is amazing!! The proximity to the lake can’t be beat…only a few steps and you are on the water. The house was clean and had everything we needed - It was perfect for a week on the lake with my family ❤️ We would most definitely stay here again!
