Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Grant County

Our group of 8 adults felt so welcome and comfortable in this space. Flexible check in and out. Beautiful view and all the supplies we needed. Beds very comfy and couches too. Any question we had answered quickly. Eggs and extra kitchen staples were so sweet and helpful. We had plenty of space to eat,relax and enjoy our weekend in the area. We enjoyed trains, boats, barges, bird, played bags Sunday by the tracks. Recommendations for restaurants in town good too!

This place was amazing! The view was terrific! The place was so spacious and clean and very comfortable! Would choose to stay here again and again!

House is easy to find. Very well appointed. Peaceful outside. Quiet and clean. Well appointed. Jeff is easy to communicate with. Beautiful stars to watch in the night as well the chance to enjoy two friendly neighbor cats. Beautiful sunsets while there also. Beautiful area.

We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again if we are ever back in the area. The property and house were more than we expected - immaculate and inviting. We enjoyed sitting outdoors - quiet and relaxing. The house is close to the river so we could stroll along the walkway. Locally we saw the Lockmaster House Museum, the Lock and Dam, had a meal at the local brewery, and enjoyed wine tasting at Promiseland Winery. We also drove up to Pike's Peak Park to do a little hiking. Thank you, Kristin for being a gracious host.

What a beautiful home!! Our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 granddaughters) truly enjoyed our stay at Simon's place. The view of the Mississippi River was amazing and our granddaughters ran to the windows every time they heard the whistle of the train as it approached below. At first I was nervous about the steepness of the back yard, but the girls didn't venture too far down. We relaxed in the hot tub, regrouped as a family as we sat and shared stories around the fire pit Simon bought for our visit, roasted marshmallows and made amazing meals on the Blackstone grill. The house was spacious and allowed each family their own privacy. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking/baking utensils needed and the two refrigerators were a definite plus. We could have definitely spent a few more days enjoying this beautiful get-away! Thank you for your hospitality and for thinking of everything you did to make our stay so special.

We have stayed at Ashley’s place multiple times now and will continue to do so. It is always clean and welcoming. Ashley provides so many extra touches that go above and beyond traditional hospitality. She is always working to continually improve the home and my family, from the dog to the toddler, always feel at home.

From the second we walked into R lodge we felt right at home. It has all the amenities, the hot tub is amazing. Everything in town is adorable and easy to walk to. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

We had a great time exploring the area and relaxing in this lovely cabin. As other reviewers have said, communication with the hosts was great and they are very accommodating. The cabin is extremely clean and everything provided reflects good taste and quality, especially compared to most other places where we’ve stayed. It was very peaceful to watch and listen to the many birds, and although the occasional car could disturb the peace during the day, it was not an issue for sleeping. In case this is informative for others, the bed mattress is on the soft side and the bathroom is located right next to the kitchen. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to explore the area.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Mississippi Waterfront cabin. It was secluded (in the winter time) with plenty of space for the kids to go outside and play. The listing showed 2 bedrooms, but there is a 3rd private bedroom in the basement that made this an extra good value.

A delightful retreat. A frames have a special charm and this one definitely stands above the rest. Excellent views & easy to operate gas stove made for cozy couch and reading time. This felt like a well loved home instead of a stale guest residence run by a rental agency, which always makes the experience more personalized. Kent was very communicative and provided plenty of detail about the space and its quirks. Would return again.

Very responsive hosts. We did a same night check in and they were accommodating for being last minute. We celebrated our anniversary and they even left us a little surprise.

The perfect weekend getaway! They set the cabin up with everything you would need to be entertained or find adventures around the area! The cabin was extremely clean, and the property was beautiful! The hosts were responsive to questions! Will definitely be back.

This is our second visit to DPC! We love it here! The cabin is immaculate and amenities are great! The guidebook was amazing and our girls trip was fantastic in big part because of this place! Hosts are amazing! Definitely a hidden gem!!

My teenage boys and I really loved this stay. If you need to spend some time in a lawn chair relaxing and also be surrounded by beautiful woods, this is your place. Great place!

Quaint little cabin in the woods. Not much around, but was a dollar store nearby for any needed items. Snacks, coffee maker, and basic items in fridge were a nice touch. Host provided us with a bundle of wood which allowed us to have smores in the fire pit in the yard outside. Inside electric fireplace was nice too.
