The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Atypical accommodation

Located above the host's house, this charming little nest under the roofs, with mansard architecture, offers a warm and intimate space. Atypical, inspiring place, adorned with a Buddhist temple and monument. Enjoy the small terrace with unobstructed views of the countryside and the private spa. The bright veranda is ideal for your moments of yoga and meditation. Inspiring and contemplative place. Not suitable for young children. No smoking anywhere on the property.

The perfect isolated escape ! This cosy cottage is hidden away in the beautiful and largely undiscovered Vallée de Gijou. As an ex-restaurateur I can provide breakfast, lunches, picnics and dinners on order. Nestled in the Haut Languedoc Park between the Southern town of Castres (40 minutes) and world heritage site of Albi (50 minutes).
