Chalet holiday rentals in Great Britain

Our second stay at Swift. We brought my mother this time and she fell in love with it too. Such a charming cabin. It's like stepping into a family holiday home, complete with all their beach combing memories, and adding our own. The sea sounds are hypnotic and send you to sleep (day or night) but you struggle to keep conscious to enjoy it all. We didn't stray far but stayed on foot or swam from our holiday home and slowed down to pace. The beach has fantastic pebbles in so many colours we enjoyed looking at those and the good books we brought. People and dog watching beneath the balcony. I'd recommend taking the footpath next to the sea shanty cafe and doing the short walk up to the old bakery for some cake in their garden or special locally made souvenirs.

I had a wonderful 3 days at Chalet 31. Lyme Regis is a very special place for me and was just what I needed. I felt like I was in a little cocoon, all cosy and warm. Being by the sea is so good for the soul. The chalet was exceptional, beautiful flowers, yummy biscuits, tea and milk, such a thoughtful gesture. Didn't want to leave! Just right and you need 3 days to wind down and appreciate it. Will be back again for sure. Thank you Irene xx

Great hosts. Very welcoming and extremely helpful. Walking distance from town. Great outdoor space. Good walks from the house, hosts recommend great places to visit close by. Off street parking right outside the house. Definitely recommend.

What a beautiful, secluded spot. It was super cozy and private. The outdoor space out the back and balcony were particular highlights. Janet was v friendly and we appreciate her personal touch. Lots of outdoors and touristy things to do in and around Loch Ness. No Nessie sightings though :(

The chalet surpassed our expectations and is ideally situated. It is close to Aberdeen (20 minutes drive to City Centre) but in a rural location. Paddy and Catherine are both lovely people with a very interesting back-story. They were attentive but not overbearing throughout our visit

A perfect setting to clear my brain of all the clutter that builds up over time. Peace & quiet to read & read & then read some more. Will be booking to go back again later in the year. Kim is the best host.

We stayed here last year, and decided to come again this year. Still as beautiful, peaceful and secluded as last time! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay (despite the weather). The upkeep of the property has been maintained to a high standard, was very clean and easily accessible with clear instructions. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

The lodge is truly special both inside and out in the most stunning location. Great experience all round.

Beautiful location well connected to some stunning parts of the Dorset county including Lulworth Cove and the Jurassic Coast. The chalet was really well equipped and the kids loved it especially and are keen to go back. It definitely felt like a home from home. Stephen was great at communicating too.

We really enjoy our stay at Sarah's place. The living room was really spacious, kitchen well equipped and general decoration is beautiful.

We had a great time in your beautiful place. It is clean, quiet, and in a great location, making it an ideal base for visiting Edinburgh and Inverness. Your kitchen is well-equipped. If you want us to dig bone out of an egg, we went through tea bags so quickly; having a few more in stock would be even better. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place. If we revisit Scotland, your place will be at the top of our list.

If relaxing is what you’re looking to do, then this place is perfect. Beautiful surroundings, even when it rains!! Definitely recommend the Plockton Inn for dining and drinks.

Great place to stay, looked even better than the pictures! Nice and peaceful next to a lake with loads of ducks! The personal little touches were so nice, Andrew left us a bottle of wine and chocolates, and even the slippers etc were a lovely touch! Definitely will be booking this again

This was our second time at Chris’s lodge and yet again it didn’t disappoint!! The lodge is just in the best spot, the facilities inside are just great and everything was spotless, it is such a great lodge that we just had the best time there. My girls absolutely loved being able to feed the ducks, geese and swans from the lodge. You could just sit and watch the wild life on the lake all day. Chris was a super helpful host for all the booking and was able to help us purchase play-passes to use the facilities at the complex. We will definitely be staying again.

What an amazing little gem! An idylic weekend started right from our arrival and the magical walk through your beautiful garden to the house and discovering all the little 'mice' hidden around. Lovely little touches, with the welcome message, iPod for some music and a nostalgic hour spent on the PS3. And the comfyist, biggest bed ever! We had a friendly welcome at the local pub and explored some of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Our own little paradise, just what was needed for a relax and recharge. We've had a brilliant weekend at the Mouse House and will most definitely be back!

Our second stay here as a family group of 5 and 1 dog. Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings couldn’t fault it. Comfortably furnished and a lovely balcony to enjoy the scenery from
