Beautifully restored early 1900s engine house

GernotRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A wonderful place, hidden in nature, but not lonely. You open the door and you immediately get the feeling of having arrived. Every room has a lightness and every day you discover new wonderfully designed corners. The walled garden offers great privacy , you are awakened by light and chirping birds and you experience the evening with fading light through the open windows . Absolutely wonderful , take advantage of the walk through the fields to the Bunbury Arms , you may spot muntjac ! There is so much to see in the area and you look forward to the engine house after your explorations. Because this lovingly restored house touches the heart.

Fabulous Luxury Suffolk Lodge with Hot Tub for 6

TracyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a Mothers & Daughters weekend and stayed at this lovely lodge. From our first impressions of walking in and it being bright, airy and modern, we felt right at home and loved every minute! Kitchen was well equipped, 3 en-suites were a benefit for us ladies and 2 main bedrooms were large and roomy. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful countryside, we walked almost everywhere, as we love getting our steps in! We spent a day in Ickworth Country Park which is a five minute drive away which was great and we walked into Bury using the off road paths/trails we found….. we may have even done some rambling with a wrong turn or two….! We enjoyed an evening meal at The Three Kings, 30 minute walk away, or five mins in the car from the lodge, and was lovely food and service. After all the walking, the hot tub was a well deserved pleasure and we made the most out of it throughout our stay. Tip: lots of little flies/gnats so take citronella candles/fly spray (no fault of the owners).

Our second stay in quick succession and once again we had a wonderful time. Lovely surroundings with the gardens and river and surrounded by open fields. Comfortable rooms with everything you need and loved the private patio and seating. Rob and Shi are lovely and it was a pleasure getting to know them while staying in their home. Also Dog Friendly! Plenty of parking off road and secure.

The Orchard Close Art House

RossRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We stayed with our 6yo, 3yo, our baby and dog for one night, booked at last minute. The art and house decoration is absolutely incredible. It was a huge privilege to spend time with all the amazing paintings and other artworks which are both beautiful and extremely funny. The decoration of the house itself is also a masterpiece and I've not even mentioned the bug circus yet! It was probably worth the money just to have the bug circus to ourselves. Both children were totally captivated by it. They were also fascinated by the paintings and the wonderful pieces in the toilet. We'll be talking about it long into the future.
