Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Great Slave Lake

The house was perfect for our group of 4 adults. So spacious and comfortable which is needed for winter time. Loved the personal touches with the bottled water by the bed and bathroom amenities. Oh and the heated floors were amazing! Kitchen well stocked - the house had everything! We were close enough to walk to Old Town. And we got home so late from Aurora Lights tour and hungry so it’s nice the pizza place just next door was open until 3a. Great stay and highly recommend!

EASILY one of the best BnB’s I ever stayed in. From booking to check out everything was perfect, price was very worth it . Great host as well, I’ll definitely have to come back some time ! Recommend this place to anyone staying with 2 or more people.

I loved staying here, this is my second time staying at plums place and it’s been a great experience both times, plum is very cute! Hosts are amazing! very nice,welcoming,responds quickly, and suggest some great things. The place is very cozy,quiet,clean and comfortable. Highly recommend plums place, will for sure book again😊

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the great view from the balcony, especially the sunsets. The space itself was perfect for us, and had every amenity we could need. Despite being close to everything, it felt like a private retreat where we could truly relax. The hosts were very responsive—any question we had was answered within minutes, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Their warmth and attention to detail made us feel so welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with a stunning view, top-notch comfort, and hosts who genuinely care, you can't go wrong here.

Jill's place is comfortable and loved that its walkable to old town and the lake. Beds are comfortable and we all slept well after long adventurous days in the cold and sunshine.

The stay here was exactly what we were after. After each day it was so nice to have a clean, fresh, bright space to come back to at the end of the day. We especially enjoyed that it was clutter free and de-personalized so it wasn’t like staying at a strangers house, it was super clean and comfortable which was a perfect way to wind down after each day. Very clean. Very bright. Just overall clean and fresh feeling. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay. Kid friendly. Even left us baby gear and toys. Access to laundry was a plus. Would book again. Only unpleasant part was there were ants in the kitchen at times.

the place was as described so the lack of surprises was welcoming. Nelson messages to see how everything is going which is being very attentive. i unfortunately burnt one of his pans luckily he was understanding. it's a great cozy place to stay at. I got no complaints.

We had a great time! Stayed here a week and felt right at home, the place is super cozy. Carrie was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Wifi worked well for remote work. I would absolutely recommend staying here (unless you are a very light sleeper, the walls are a little thin but it didn't bother us much).

Fantastic place in Old Town Yellowknife! We loved every minute of our stay! George's apartment is very comfortable and offers a stunning view of the harbor and lake. We hope to come back in the winter!

This was our second time staying at Michel's place and it feels like home away from home. It's location is great with nice trails out the door and walking distance to many amenities. The aparment is very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for short term accomdation in Yellowknife.

A wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed walking on the (frozen) lake and all the nearby places to eat, also walking distance. Check out SunDog and NWT Brewery and Bullocks. Definitely need reservations at the last two. A major highlight was Old Town Glassworks right across the street from the Inn. Check it out, support a unique local business and take home a personalized souvenir. Beautiful view from the 2nd story and very comfortable and cozy. The furnace is very loud especially in 2 of the bedrooms so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper Will go back to see how different it is in the summer!

Caroline is an incredible host, super gracious, friendly, and communicative. One of the best! If you’re traveling alone or in a pair with your significant other I can’t think of a better place to stay. The space is cozy, always warm, easily accessible and super walkable to a ton of incredible eating spots, while also not being as busy as a traditional hotel. The kitchenette attached is lovely and exactly what you need to whip up a quick snack, or cook and prepare a small meal. Being our first trip to Yellowknife we had heard a few recommendations before getting there of places to go and see, but when openings popped up in our schedule, I reached out to Caroline and she threw out some options as alternatives. Not only were the food spots excellent, but she mentioned a direction to possibly see the lights - and sure enough night one, we had success! Just a 12 minute walk from our room! 5 Stars! Will book again if travelling to Yellowknife again!

A very well maintained cozy space. Rob & Sue were amazing and thoughtful hosts. Yellowknife was a magical place to visit and made especially better because of where we stayed.
