Monthly Rentals in Great Thirkleby

We had a great two night stay at this lovely cosy cottage. It’s set in beautiful surroundings and with Lucy’s instructions was very easy to find. The cottage was clean and warm with a welcome gift of Cake, milk, bread and butter. The basics are provided in the kitchen, you’re probably not going to cook a full three course dinner in there but it’s perfectly serviceable for making simple meals. It is in a great location with easy access to lots of worthwhile places to visit. Most importantly to us it was within a 30 minute drive to Newby Hall and Gardens for Tractor Fest 2025.

Alison was the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother. Very flexible with out check-in & check-out, and the place had everything we needed for a chilled weekend. Very quiet little village but plently nearby if thats what you want. The local pub was under 1 minute away & did the best home cooked food, would definately go again. We'll definately be back to stay with Alison (& Henry & Ruby).

lovely accommodation in a beautiful village, away from any hussle and bussle. Everything is wonderfully peaceful. You are 5 miles from Thirsk and over a mile away from the nearest pub. You may need transport. it's an annex to a family home so there will be activity. super generous welcome bundle. No cooking facilities although a microwave is supplied. Very comfortable, light and clean.

We had a wonderful stay! Cathy and Tony were welcoming and friendly. The annex was spotlessly clean with all amenities we needed. It is very spacious - just like having your own house. Very comfortable with everything to feel like home. There was a very generous welcome package of goodies to get us started too. Location is excellent for taking day trips and very close to the amenities of Thirsk but with a country feel.
