The cottage was great. Rustic with a lot of character and reminded me of St Lawrence and Finger Lakes vacations when I was a kid. We've stayed at a number of places on the river over the years and this was the first time upon arrival I turned to my wife and said..."Now THIS is a river cottage." It had everything you could ever want to just be at the river and enjoy yourself. Susan was a great host, gave detailed, easy, and clear instructions and was very responsive.

The Cottage was wonderful! Fantastic place to get away from the daily hustle and enjoy time with the family boating, fishing and sightseeing! Morning coffee on the back porch was very relaxing start to each day and enjoying a nice beverage after dinner as you watched the sunset capped off the end of each day! The cottage had everything you need to enjoy your stay. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to enjoy on the river.

Beautiful cottage on the River. Very clean, well stocked, and perfect for our family. The deck was great to see the freighters, tour boats, and wildlife. The location is perfect to visit several towns along the River and Canada.

For those looking for the quintessential island stay in the 1,000 islands, look no further. A quick boat ride directly across from Clayton with a beautiful view of the village and other notable landmarks like Calumet island in the Saint Lawerence. During our stay, my wife and I saw a ton of wildlife, beautiful views and enjoyed nearby Clayton. We enjoyed the peaceful cottage experience. Alice is a helpful, responsive host that knows how to make sure her guests enjoy their stay and have everything they need. Highly recommend.

Dayna was quick, friendly and responsive everytime we had any questions. House was perfect for our fishing trip with 6 guys. Beds were comfortable and we all had plenty of space. Front porch great to relax and take in the views after a long day of fishing. We would definitely stay again

We were a group of lifelong friends up for a long weekend and this place was just an amazing backdrop for a long overdue reunion. The space was impeccable, the lot was beautiful and the wood-powered sauna & hot tub were well-loved. Everything was as described -- the first person that arrived simply said "this place is incredible." The manager was super responsive and really friendly and helpful as we figured out the sauna. We've been home and hour and are already talking of booking May 2026 ... now. The place is really pretty, well-appointed and we were thrilled with the weekend.

What a gem - Bob and Kathryn have created a cozy little home away from home, only steps from the waterfront and very close to all the shops and restaurants that make Clayton such a great destination. The place was spotless and stocked with every amenity needed for a restful getaway. It was nice to have secure parking and being able to walk to town within 5-7 minutes. I appreciated the little touches like ample water in fridge, hooks and extra outlets. Having stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, I can say that not everyone thinks of those things. But Bob and Kathryn seemed to have thought of everything a guest might want or need. I would definitely book again in future!

TLDR: You are lucky you found this place. Book it and get ready for one of the best experiences you will ever have. It truly feels like home, just with a better view. From the moment we arrived, Sally and Keith made us feel completely welcome. Their beautiful home is full of charm and warmth, with a stunning view of the river that never gets old. We loved watching birds, spotting the occasional ship passing by, and soaking in the peace and quiet. What made our stay truly special was Sally and Keith’s kindness and hospitality. They go above and beyond in every way and made us, and even our parents who visited with us, feel like family. If you are reading this, stop scrolling. You have found a gem. Book it. You will leave with wonderful memories and maybe even a new friendship. Thank you Sally and Keith for everything. We cannot wait to come back.
