Located outside New Braunfels, Son’s Island is an actual Island with a tropical feel! This Island paradise is located on Lake Placid which is fed from the Guadalupe & Comal Rivers. With a bridge at it's entrance, Son's Island is accessible by car. On Son’s Island are 20 large glamping tents with AC that lucky guests can stay overnight in. Glamping Guests get to enjoy the Island after normal daytime hours, which is the best time to be on the Island as sunsets & sunrises are absolutely beautiful!

Salvage Texas has tent camping! We can even supply the tent for an additional fee! You bring your sleeping bag/cots or bedding. We have several camping spots near our community bath house, as well as various primitive camping spots throughout the property. There is a large fire pit where guests may enjoy a fire or cook their meals. We are just 1/2 mile from a beautiful swimming hole on the San Marcos River, & just 4 miles from Palmetto State Park
