We decided to take a last-minute trip from Bogotá to Guatavita and booked this Airbnb the same day. Oscar, the host, responded almost immediately and confirmed our reservation for that very night. He quickly got in touch to share all the important details: how to get there, what to bring, local restaurant recommendations, and step-by-step instructions. He even made sure to be available to welcome us when we arrived in the late afternoon. The place itself is fantastic. It’s a small cabin next to the main house, but private enough that you completely forget anyone else is around. It’s well equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, a cozy balcony with mountain views, and lots of books to read. Oscar even told us we could take a book with us if it really spoke to us. The chimney was such a nice touch. He got it started for us and patiently showed us how to keep it going (it was our first time using one). Everything was spotless and neatly organized. We truly loved the space.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had stepped into something special. Nestled in the hills near Guatavita, this serene retreat offers more than a stay—it offers an experience. The pictures don’t do it justice. Spotlessly clean, spacious, and full of charm, it was perfect for our group of five. The meals were unforgettable—the baked chicken and BBQ feast were divine, and breakfasts each day were perfect. The “wild” animals added magic, and the staff, warm and attentive, kept the fires glowing. Bring essentials (and marshmallows!) as the road in is rugged and nearby shops are limited. Guatavita, just minutes away, is a gem—don’t miss the tomato soup at La Cava or artisan chocolate at Guataland. This home is a soulful sanctuary filled with love, comfort, and wonder. We came seeking rest and left with memories we’ll treasure forever. We will return.

An excellent place to rest, the cabin has everything you need, the location is perfect and it has a spectacular view.

The place is very comfortable and cozy. It's clean. The grill and oven are very nice. The view is incredible with the reservoir in the background, and several animals that make the experience something magical to rest and relax. The only difficult thing is the access. Waze and maps do not give the correct route, so you have to follow a map that Andrea herself made, but it is not difficult to understand the route. Since it rains a lot in the place, it can be difficult and the car can run the risk of getting stuck.
