Family-friendly holiday rentals in Gubbio

This was a really lovely airbnb stay. The home is on a tiny pedestrian square in a quiet town with beautiful views nearby of the surrounding countryside. A great perk to have the local swimming pool available to use on hot days.

Claudia’s home was absolutely wonderful and so was she! We stayed for 4 days— too short a time—and ended up spending much of our time at the house. Claudia had excellent recommendations for local food and activities (including homemade pasta at the local market, which we loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen) and was always available to answer questions. The location is well situated— less than an hour from a variety of sights, from the frassasi caves to beaches and hillside towns scattered around Umbria and Marche. Wineries, olive groves, biking, hiking, etc. Plenty of activities to keep you busy, but our favorite thing was to enjoy the home, listen to the birds, and watch the sunset from the pool or hot tub. We also loved being here in early/mid May, when temps can be a bit cool but tourist crowds are still small. Highly recommend.

Had a super 8 night stay here. Paola, the host, is everything you can hope for from an Airbnb host. Super communicative, welcoming and helpful. Her and her husband helped me with a medical issue, which was so kind and appreciated. Wow! Just wow! The apartment is quiet and I slept good at night. It has every amenity that I needed. It is clean and in a safe location. They really put love and attention into this place and it shows. Highly recommended.

Our stay at this medieval castle was truly unforgettable. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to help us when our car had mechanical issues. The back terrace offered breathtaking views, and the serenity of the location made it the perfect retreat, far from any hustle and bustle. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Living in a medieval castle was an incomparable experience, and we loved the friendly visits from Pepita, the dog. The only minor inconvenience was the limited hot water supply for six people, but it didn't overshadow our wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Pictures don’t do the property and spectacular view justice. We had an amazing family holiday, our host couldn’t have been more accommodating, even leaving us kind gifts. Location was perfect (close enough to town and the airport but feeling secluded), having a bathroom each was great, and again that view was stunning. It all made for a perfect family trip :)

this place is really a hidden gem. it's on the top of a mountain, very private, very quiet. the house itself is very clean, very well equiped and even better then in the pictures. if you are looking for rest, peace and quiet, go there. the pool, the garden, the terasses, are perfect. Also valentina and family are extremely friendly and fast to help with anything. would definitly recomend

A gorgeous villa surrounded by nature just outside the heart of Perugia. We stayed here for 6 nights, and Giuseppe made us feel right at home. He is super friendly, kind, helpful and had lots of local tips on where to eat, stay and what to do. Giuseppe’s villa is very beautiful decorated, and we enjoyed watching the sunset with a glass of wine every evening. Warmly recommend this place!

Chiusi may not be a major hilltop town but it is very special because it lacks the tourists. We had plenty of restaurants to visit in the week we stayed, and lots of historic sights to see. You do need a car to visit surrounding towns but the peacefulness of Chiusi makes it delightful. Rafaels place is perfect with the balcony and sublime views. He was an exceptional host who did not impose on our privacy but always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and town.

the place is lovely surrounded by woods with a breathtaking view. ideal to go with dogs and children. strategic location to visit the enchanting villages of Umbria. the house is lovely, we were there in winter and the floor heating was very pleasant. the bedroom is very spacious and the house is modern. I hope to return in the spring. Uma with her mother Lucia and her partner Luca are delightful and empathetic people. We immediately felt at home and they are available for any request. Paolo's place is really a nice place to be. It's very peaceful with a very good atmosphere. It's in walking distance from supermarket and pharmacy and cafes/bars. Paolo is very thorough and helpful and nice to talk with. Thanks for all your help, Paolo. Thomas.

Great stay, beautiful view!

An oasis of peace in a beautiful setting. The agriturismo is very cozy with many seating areas and a nice large swimming pool. The studio was very nicely decorated and equipped with its own balcony with dining table. Roberta is very friendly and had good tips to explore the area. We had a wonderful time.

Our stay at Gino's House in Gubbio was a real delight! Daniela and Gino's warm welcome made us feel like longtime friends. The accommodation, nestled in the greenery, was impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The pool, a haven of peace, allowed us to relax after our days of sightseeing. The location is ideal, close to the historic center of Gubbio while being quiet. Gino and Daniela gave us great tips for discovering the region, enriching our stay with beautiful tours. During our two weeks, we particularly enjoyed the cooking class offered by our hosts, where we learned how to make fresh pasta while sharing a friendly moment. We will keep an unforgettable memory of this experience and highly recommend this place to all lovers of authentic Italy. If you are looking for comfort, authenticity, and discovery, look no further!

This air B&B was in a beautiful area of Tuscany with breathtaking views. The property had many areas to sit and enjoy the rolling hills.

We had a really good time, immersed in an oasis of peace. Sara was super kind and affable, with her wonderful daughter they treated us very well, giving us advice on how to get around to visit Assisi and the villages we had planned. His accommodation is comfortable, new and very clean. An experience to be repeated

What a beautiful place! Great view of the lake. Sergio was incredibly friendly and responsive. He gave us local recommendations and even made us a fruit salad. I will definitely be booking with Sergio again the next time we are in Umbria.

It is such a glorious place. We were stunned, and so happy and calm for the three days we had there. The landscape around the house, and the waterfall, was breathtaking. Thank you Ella and all the family!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was beautifully equipped with everything we needed — from the kitchen to the bedrooms, every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The garden was absolutely lovely, perfect for relaxing in the sun or enjoying a meal outdoors. The pool was a real highlight — clean, spacious, and a great way to cool off during the day. What truly made the stay special was the warm hospitality of our hosts. They were welcoming, helpful, and made us feel completely at home from the very first moment. For anyone wanting to experience the Tuscan hospitality, beauty and Italian charm this is the perfect location for you! Families, groups, single travelers all welcome and provided appropriate accommodations . The views are picturesque and the owner and staff are truly dedicated to sharing Tuscany with you! The farm/winery tour followed by the wine luncheon is a must do! The entire staff is truly cares about your experience and happily wants to pass on their knowledge to you. Having the beautiful pool and patio was a perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon. We are hoping to return this year for another Tuscan respite! Thank you to Chiara for sharing family home!

The accommodation and especially the garden looks even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures! The location is really beautiful, it is absolutely quiet and you have a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying. The hostess was also super nice, helpful and warm! We will definitely come back:-)

Nothing but positive things to say about our beautiful stay at Susan and Salvatore’s slice of heaven. The most stunning panoramic views of the lake and countryside. Something straight out of Pinterest or a magazine :) They were always super responsive and more than happy to help with local recommendations. It’s a great base to explore Umbria and Tuscany by car as it’s basically on the border to both. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks again for a beautiful stay :)

We absolutely loved our stay! The road to it is indeed a challenge, as correctly indicated in the listing. We do not have a 4x4, but a higher car, and took the longer route to the house. That took us a little extra time with each move, but we had that for it. The tranquility and the view are priceless. The cottage is sufficiently well equipped, we didn't miss anything. There was also great service included: in the middle of our stay, the house was cleaned for us and we got fresh sheets and towels. Also, the pool is cleaned and refilled 2 times a week. Manager Matteo was easily accessible for each question. As far as we are concerned, definitely repeatable!
