The old house at Solnes Farm

Part of duplex on active farm. We are the third generation to run the farm after my husband's grandparents received the farm as a wedding gift. Here you get to stay in the original farmhouse from around 1950. We live in the other part of the house. Cozy place, fully furnished and with everything you need for shorter or longer stays. We have 8 alpacas and many goats on the farm, you can join in the care on demand and if we have the opportunity in a busy everyday life as we are in full employment and have four small children.

There are many hiking opportunities; Storehesten, Lisjehesten, Dagsturhytta Skaraly, hunting opportunities, swimming in the fjord or in mountain lakes. Enjoy the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere of the Birdbox. Cozy, close to nature and peaceful. Lay down and sleep right beside nature and the amazing surroundings. Our beautiful 3 room ground floor apartment is available for rent. Perfect suitable for a couple, a small family or 2-4 friends. Two separate bedrooms. Linen and towels are included. The kitchen is fully equiped for cooking and eating. There are cable TV and a nice seating in the living room. Fast wireless internet. Big bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer. Nice view to the Sognefjord and the mountains. Good hiking possibilities. Sunny place. You need a car to get there.

The village Balestrand offers fishing trips and fjord tours by boat, rental of kayaks bicycles and cars.
