Old Oak Cottages

LauraRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Wow! This place was above expectations, absolutely beautiful cottage and facilities. The cottage itself is so spacious and finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. The grounds and facilities on offer are superb. The location is stunning and perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas, so many places to visit. Weโ€™re already planning our next stay, thank you for a perfect stay!

Cottage sleeps 5 with indoor swimming pool

JadeneRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This hidden gem was perfect for our family getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. we were welcomed with a smile, and a beautiful home made cake and loaf of bread, as well as a fun "boo-basket' with hot chocolate, smores ingredients and a pumpkin to carve. cottage was exactly as described and clean and tidy. we loved the indoor swimming pool and games room, allowing us the holiday fun irrespective of the weather. The Coachman Inn pub only a mile away, had the freshest pint and one of the best steaks we've ever had. close to Pickering, were we took the steam train to Goathland, and Dalby forest to go swing at Go Ape and ride bikes. and only 30 mins from Whitby to get a dose of sea-side and fish n chips! the grounds of the cottage were beautiful too, for a lovely evening stroll, where we met the sweetest chickens and ducks. Truly a fab week away to recharge the batteries !! thanks so much!! and will definitely recommend!

Family sized cottage, sleeps 4 and swimming pool

LucyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely loved our stay at Cliff House with Jacquline. Beautiful location, swimming pool was such a bonus for the children, they loved it! The grounds were fantastic, such a lot to explore, our children loved the chickens and climbing frame and the private wood was great for hide and seek. Jacquline was such a great, friendly host and gave us great advice about visiting York. She even arranged an Easter egg hunt for our children. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

3 bedroom cottage with swimming pool access

HeatherRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Perfect location. Perfect house. Perfect host. I stayed in Orchard House with my husband, daughter, son in law and two grandchildren aged 12 and 14. The host was so kind and had left milk, bread and a home made loaf for us. One morning we found a bowl of peaches from her garden on our doorstep. Jacqueline is nice and friendly and is available if you need to know anything. We loved everything about the house. Plenty room for us all. Great sized living room. Kitchen come dining room was ideal as were the 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The appliances are new and of the highest quality. Also made use of the log fire when we returned at night. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and table tennis. These activities were such an added bonus. A quiet peaceful location close to so many beautiful villages. Visited Thornton-le-Dale, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, and went on the NYMR steam train from Pickering to Whitby.

One bedroomed cottage with swimming pool.

BeckyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely little place in beautiful countryside environment and a friendly pub just up the road (the grapes). There is an off lead dog walk directly outside the property. We loved our stay, opening the windows and listening to just the birds, the brook flowing right past the home, and the owls hooting at night. We would definitely return

Sunnyside Cottage, North Yorks.

SimonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Very comfortable place to stay, felt at home right away. The cottage was also very nicely presented. Itโ€™s a peaceful place to stay and the neighbours are all very friendly. The village is handily located for the North Yorkshire Moors, the seaside and a number of very picturesque towns and villages.

The Barn at Noelle's Cottages

SuzanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to recommend a stay at The Barn. The property was immaculate, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The garden as well as the house was spacious and both felt very private and tastefully appointed and allowed us a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location was perfect for exploring this part of North Yorkshire where there is so much to see and do.

Liberty Stays - Redcar

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely property. It's even better than the photos and so clean and comfortable. It was perfect for my father in law who has mobility issues now and he really enjoyed the wet room and profiling bed. We loved the upstairs bedroom and bathroom - the bedroom is huge and the view is great. The beds were all really comfortable. The outside space was great for sitting out in the sunshine and very secure for our dog. The beach is a short walk away and was beautiful. We hope to return.

Pawel was a wonderful host and when a problem came up, he quickly came over to help us resolve it. The neighbors were a little loud but it wasnโ€™t Pawelโ€™s fault. Besides that, everything else was comfortable and tidy.

Highfield Annex with off St Parking in Keldholme

LynnRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Visited last weekend. We were welcomed upon arrival and were greeted by both John and Tricia. Parking was safe and secure. Lodge set in a beautiful peaceful location, John gave us a thorough tour and explained in depth about all facilities. The lodge contained everything you could possibly need including a lovely welcome pack and a bottle of Chilled Cava. Hosts were knowledgeable about the area and a pleasure to meet, the visit felt friendly from the start. There are lots of places to visit nearby and it is central to most tourist attractions. John and Tricia couldnโ€™t do enough even offering to come and collect us if we got stranded anywhere on our walk. Visit made even better by the resident miniature horses, dogs and chicken who joined us outside for a glass of cava. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay. It's obvious by the little details that John and Tricia have put everything into getting things just right for their guests. Highly recommended, see you again. Many thanks Ted and Lynn

North Yorkshire Moors Views from Ayresome House

ClaireRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was a very comfortable stay for 3 adults and a dog, with a nice and spacious home. The host has thought of everything, with reading choices for adults and kids, games and TV options. If you love the peace and quiet, this is for you. The garden is very private and the only sound is from the wildlife. There are walks from the door, and it's very easy to find trails through the fields to get up to the hills overlooking the village (AllTrails is great for the hills, but doesn't capture all the local footpaths through the fields). Kirkby doesn't have much in the way of amenities, so a car is probably your best option. It's only a 5-minute drive to Stokesley which has a greater choice of cafes, convenience stores, takeaways and restaurants. There is a parking spot available at the property but also ample on-road options. There are lots of pub choices walkable in Great Broughton. We found it a perfect location to drive to local sights, Rievaulx Abbey, Howard Castle, coastal towns, etc.

Castleton house, garden and view

KathrynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely old house in a very peaceful village location. Lots of nice touches in the house, such as a good supply of logs etc for the log-burner, condiments and even a home made cake on arrival, which we appreciated! Plenty of instant hot water and good pressure in the showers. Easy to operate heating with clear instructions. All beds were made up with lovely crisp, white linen on comfortable beds. Fantastic communication from Andrew before, during and after our stay. A pleasure to deal with.

This is a beautiful house that is excellently located and offers the perfect place for a getaway to Redcar and the surrounding areas. Paddy's Cottage

Caroline is a fantastic host. Her home was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. Some lovely small details that make it extra special on arrival- welcome pack, well stocked (cleaning materials, dog throws and bowls etc). Fantastic location. We loved how peaceful it was at the cottage and the close proximity to the beach. We would definitely recommend staying at Paddyโ€™s cottage and hope to be able to return there in the future.
