This cottage is located at the foot of Oze, which has been designated as a World Heritage Site. The Katashina River flows in front of the villa, and it is a very comfortable area surrounded by clean air, delicious water, and farm produce. It is also possible to visit some of the most popular sightseeing destinations, Minakami and Nikko. We recommend coming by car at that time! Please do not hesitate to ask us about transportation options. The famous ski resort is also nearby! The room also has a hot spring to soothe your tired body. Barbecues overlooking the Katishina River are very popular! (There is a separate usage fee of 1,000 yen, and you will need to bring your own charcoal.) * We do not do it in winter due to snowfall. 　Outside the window, there is nothing for more than 10 kilometers. The rice fields are spread out, and one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, Mt. Makikomi (1,967 m), is located directly in front. If the timing is right, the full moon will rise from there. 　You can relax while feeling the wind crossing the rice fields in the midst of the magnificent view. 　In early spring, the rice fields with water become like mirrors, green in summer, and golden in autumn. In the second half of October, the top of Mt. Makikomi is covered with snow, and the middle slopes are colored with autumn leaves. And in winter, it is covered with about 2 meters of snow. 　In the rice fields behind the house, we make rice by hand without pesticides, and you can also participate during your stay. 　WiFi is available. It’s a popular spot for visiting the Tokamachi Daichi Art Festival and the Kiyotsu Gorge. There are also several hot springs nearby. Access from the parking lot is excellent, and restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance. It’s highly recommended as a base for the Fuji Rock Festival, as well as the Nagaoka, Kashiwazaki, and Katakai Fireworks Festivals. It can accommodate up to 9 guests, but it’s most comfortable for about 6 people.
