Holbrook Barn Guest House

OleksandrRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful garden. Very quiet location. Nice annex flat with cozy bedroom and very nice bathroom. Only one thing is that you can’t make even fried eggs, because kitchen has no electric hob and no sink. But, that is not a big problem if you can buy takeaway food from the shop or restaurant.

Rural vaulted barn with tennis court

AlasdairRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
First, I’d just like to say, Sue, your host, is a wonderful person and a great host - kind, friendly, practical, and very hospitable. My stay at Marklye Stables was truly a memorable one. Personally, I loved the feeling of having so much private space to myself in such a lovely, picturesque, rural setting. It gave me the necessary sense of freedom to be able to relax completely. There are plenty of walks, directly from the Stables, following good pathways through the local woods and across the meadows. Walking on the South Downs is just a short car drive away. Sue is an ardent rambler herself and familiar with most walks, both near and farther afield. The town of Heathfield is just less than a mile’s walk away along the pathway of the disused railway line. I will definitely return.

Just stayed one night, on arrival Tracey had left milk, water and homemade cookies. The room was spotless. The shower was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. We walked around the garden and orangery, both were beautiful. We met Tracey and she was lovely. Would deffo recommend and will be returning.
